A novel reactive monoazo dye, which can give to cellulose fiber materials a deep orange to scarlet color superior in build-up property and chlorine fastness, represented by a free acid of the formula, ##STR1## wherein D is a phenyl group substituted with 1 to 3 substitutes selected from methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, halogen, acetylamino, propionylamino, benzoylamino, succinylamino, maleinylamino, nitro, suflonic acid and carboxyl groups; R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, or a methyl or ethyl group; R.sub.2 is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms which is unsubstituted or substituted with a hydroxy, cyano, alkoxy, halogen, carboxy, alkoxycarbonyl or sulfonic acid group; Z is a hydrogen atom or a sulfonic acid group; A is a phenylene residue which is unsubstituted or substituted with 1 or 2 substituents selected from methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, chlorine, bromine and sulfonic acid groups; or a naphthylene residue which is unsubstituted or substituted with one sulfonic acid group; and X is --SO.sub.2 CH.dbd.CH.sub.2 or --SO.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 Y in which Y is a group which is splittable by alkalis.

Reactive scarlet dyes having both monochlorotriazinyl and vinylsulfone

A formazan reactive blue dye represented by a free acid of the formula, ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are each a hydrogen atom, a methyl, methoxy or sulfonic acid group, m and l are each an integer of 0 or 1 and n is an integer of 0 to 2, provided that the sum of m, n and l is 2 or 3. This dye is usable for dyeing cellulose fibers in a brilliant blue color with good fastness, particularly, against chlorine, light and perspiration-light, as well as good white dischargeability.

Formazan blue reactive dye

A brown reactive dye represented by a free acid of the formula, ##STR1## wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group, X is --SO.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 Cl, --SO.sub.2 CH.dbd.CH.sub.2, --SO.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OSO.sub.3 H or --SO.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OPO.sub.3 H.sub.2, rings A, B and C are each a benzene or naphthalene ring which may have other substituent, m is 0 to 3 and n is 0 to 1. This dye is suitable for dyeing cellulose fibers brown to afford dyeings superior in fastnesses, acid stability, build-up property and level dyeing property.

Bisazo brown reactive dye

A bisazo reactive dye represented by a free acid of the formula, ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are each a hydrogen atom, a methyl or methoxy group, a chlorine atom, or a carboxylic acid or sulfonic acid group, Y is a hydrogen atom, a methyl or sulfonic acid group, Z is --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OSO.sub.3 H, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OPO.sub.3 H.sub.2, --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 Cl or --CH.dbd.CH.sub.2, and Z.sub.1, Z.sub.2 and Z.sub.3 are each a hydrogen or chlorine atom, a methyl, methoxy, sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid group. This dye is usable for dyeing cellulose fibers in a deep blue color with good fastnesses, particularly, chlorine, light and perspiration-light fastnesses, a high acid stability, good white dischargeability as well as level dyeing properties.

Reactive disazo blue dye

A reactive dye composition containing a dye mixture comprising 60 to 97 wt. % of C.I. Reactive Orange 16 and 40 to 3 wt. % of C.I. Reactive Orange 7, and 5 to 100 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of said dye mixture of a naphthalenesulfonic acid/formaldehyde condensate having a sulfonation degree of 100 to 200%, which is very readily soluble in water and an aqueous alkaline solution and useful for dyeing cellulose fibers with a high color yield.

Reactive dye composition and its use for dyeing

The compounds represented, in the form of free acid, by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## (wherein A is ##STR2## (wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each hydrogen or a methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, acetylamino, propionylamino, benzoylamino or ureido group, and R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are each hydrogen or a methyl or methoxy group), R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each hydrogen or a methyl, ethyl or sulfomethyl group, X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are each hydrogen, chlorine or a methyl, methoxy, carboxyl or sulfonic acid group, m is a number of 0, 1 or 2, and n is a number of 1 or 2, provided that the sum of m and n is 1, 2 or 3). These compounds are capable of dyeing cellulose fibers in yellow with excellent color fastness to hypochlorite, light, perspiration and sunlight and high acid stability.

Reactive yellow dye having both monochlorotriazinyl and vinylsulfone

A dye represented by a free acid of the formula, ##STR1## wherein A is ##STR2## in which Z is --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 OSO.sub.3 H or --CH.dbd.CH.sub.2. This dye is usable for dyeing cellulose fibers in brilliant red color with good fastness, particularly, too chlorine, light and perspiration-light and possesses level dyeing properties.
