A blower may include a fan, a casing including a discharge port and housing the fan, and a nozzle attachable to the discharge port. The nozzle may include a nozzle tube in which air flows, and a plate member disposed within the nozzle tube. A rear end surface of the plate member may be inclined to a flow direction in which air flows within the nozzle tube.

Disclosed is a chainsaw capable of making it less likely that vibrations due to driving of an electric motor and a endless movement of a saw chain are transmitted to a worker, thereby enabling the worker to become less likely to be fatigued even in work using the chainsaw. The chainsaw includes an electric motor provided inside a body casing; a guide bar provided in a front portion of the body casing in such a manner as to protrude forwardly; a saw chain provided around an outer periphery of the guide bar in an endlessly movable manner, and configured to be endlessly moved along the outer periphery of the guide bar under driving of the electric motor; a handle section provided with respect to the body casing, and configured to be gripped by a worker; and an anti-vibration member interposed between the body casing and the handle section.

Chainsaw

A work apparatus includes a drive motor, a tool head including a tool frame, a bearing, a tool shaft and a rotary tool, a frame tube with the proximal end connected to the drive motor and the distal end connected to the tool head, and a drive shaft rotatably inserted through the frame tube for transmitting the rotation of the drive motor to the rotary tool. The rotary tool is accommodated within the tool frame and is rotatable on the tool shaft, when driven by the drive shaft. The tool shaft is journaled by the bearing which is elastically supported by a flexible elastic member disposed coaxially around the bearing and interposed between the bearing and the connection of the tool frame or the frame tube. Undesirable vibrations caused by the rotation of the rotary tool will be effectively hindered from being transmitted to the frame tube.

Work apparatus

A pneumatic tool, such as a nailer, includes a housing, a cylinder disposed within the housing, and a piston slidably movable within the cylinder. The piston has a driver for driving fasteners, such as nails. An upper piston chamber and a lower piston chamber are defined within the cylinder on an upper side and a lower side of the piston, respectively. A control device is provided for controlling the supply of compressed air from a compressed air supply device to the upper piston chamber and to the lower piston chamber to drive the fasteners into a workpiece. The control device includes a variable pressure chamber and a valve. The variable pressure chamber is always connected to the compressed air supply device. The valve is operable to connect and disconnect the variable pressure chamber and the lower piston chamber in response to the position of the piston relative to the cylinder. A device is provided to maintain a predetermined volume in the variable pressure chamber, irrespective of the operation of the control device.

Pneumatic tool

A percussive tool generates a reduced impact at the start of percussive operation following idling operation. The percussive tool has a cylinder containing a piston, an air chamber in front of the piston, and a striker disposed in front of the air chamber. A slide sleeve and a rimmed ring at the rear end thereof are fitted around the cylinder. The cylinder has formed therein an exhaust port and auxiliary ports in front of the exhaust port for placing the air chamber in communication with the atmosphere. When the slide sleeve is retracted, the exhaust port is closed by the rimmed ring. During percussive operation of the percussive tool, the auxiliary ports are always closed by the reciprocating striker and therefore not open to the air chamber. During idling operation, the striker takes an advanced position and opens the auxiliary ports, thereby placing the air chamber in communication with the atmosphere. The distance between the rear end of the striker and the auxiliary ports is set slightly shorter than the distance between the rear end of the ring and the exhaust port in normal operation, so that the auxiliary ports are opened prior to the exhaust port.

An airflow regulation arrangement for regulating the impact of the strikes delivered from a striking member (6) to an intermediate member (10) and a bit, thus reducing the vibration, and also for regulating the impact of recoils of the striking member (6) is disclosed for use in an electrical hammer (1). The airflow regulation arrangement comprises an air inlet (14) provided in an air chamber (5) in a cylinder (3) of the electrical hammer (1), exhaust ports (15) provided in a second air chamber (9), and air passages (16) in communication with the air inlet (14) and the exhaust ports (15). The air passages (16) are connected to choke passages (17), the cross sectional area of which is one fifth to one sixth of that of the air passages (16). In a forward stroke of the striking member (6), the compressed air forced out of the second air chamber (9) is gradually released out of the cylinder (3) after passing through the air passages (16) the choke passages (17), which causes a gradual pressure increase in the second air chamber (9) as the striking member (6) moves forward, thereby appropriately braking the striking member (6) and checking the excessive acceleration and the impact of the strikes of the striking member (6).
