An absorbent adapted to be used in a spray can charged with a liquefied gas, which exhibits excellent absorbing performance and excellent liquid retention. The absorbent is composed of an assembly of pulverized cellulose fibers that includes at least 45 mass % of fine cellulose fibers having a fiber length of 0.35 mm or less. The absorbent is formed into a sheet-shaped or a columnar configuration, or a surface sheet is laminated on a surface of the absorbent. The absorbent composed of 70 through 90 mass % of cellulose fibers that include 45 mass % or more of fine cellulose fibers having a fiber length of 0.35 mm or less, and 5 through 30 mass % of a fusion-bondable resin exhibits good formability.

Absorbent for spray can, process for producing absorbent sheet for spray can, and spray can product

A spray can product capable of preventing leakage where used or stored in a tilted or an inverted position, and keeping good safety and liquid retention even where a flammable liquefied gas is used. The spray can product is formed by filling a spray can having an ejection opening with a liquefied gas and an absorbing body for retaining liquid, and the absorbing body is composed of an assembly of cellulose fibers containing at least 45 mass % of fine cellulose fibers having a fiber length of 0.35 mm or less. The absorbing body compressed into a block-shaped configuration corresponding to that of the spray can is accommodated within the spray can while defining a space on the side of an ejection opening, and a lid-like member is provided between the space and the absorbing body to protect a surface of the absorbing body in a gas permeable manner.

A liquid-absorbent sheet containing: a liquid-absorbent surface material mainly containing a pulp; a liquid-absorbent nonwoven fabric; a liquid-absorbent rear material mainly containing a pulp; and a super absorbent polymer; wherein the super absorbent polymer is disposed at least between the liquid-absorbent surface material and the liquid-absorbent nonwoven fabric as an A layer and between the liquid-absorbent nonwoven fabric and the liquid-absorbent rear material as a B layer, the super absorbent polymer being contained in a total amount of 200 to 400 g/m, which is allocated in the A layer at 30 to 50% by mass, the liquid-absorbent nonwoven fabric layer at 0 to 40% by mass, and the B layer at 30 to 70% by mass, and the content ratio of the super absorbent polymer in the A layer is less than or equal to the content ratio of the super absorbent polymer in the B layer.
