An imaging device, an image system and an imaging method in which proper image correction processing is carried out on a video signal are provided. An imaging device includes: a video signal input unit which inputs a video signal; and an image processing unit to which the video signal is inputted and which carries out correction of the video signal and outputs a corrected video signal. The image processing unit includes a histogram detection unit which divides an image area termed by the acquired video signal into plural areas, acquires a per-area histogram that is a histogram or the video signal in each of the plural areas, and finds per-area histogram data for each area based on the per-area histogram. The image processing unit carries out correction of the video signal based on a cumulative value of the per-area histogram data.

Imaging device, imaging system and imaging method

An image forming system of the present invention includes an image forming method and section for forming an image on a sheet fed thereto. A stapler included in a finisher staples a stack of sheets each carrying image formed by the image forming section thereon. A controller causes the image forming section to form an image in accordance with input image data and causes the stapler to staple the stack of sheets at a preselected point or points. When sheets of different sizes are mixed together, the controller inhibits the stapler from stapling the stack except when the short edges of a large size sheet and the long edges of a small size sheet are identical in length in a direction perpendicular to the direction of sheet feed and when all the images printed on the sheets have the same orientation when the stapled stack is spread.

Image forming method and system with a finishing capability

In a printer driver that transmits a print data to a printer connected via a network to make a print request, a document password processing unit prompts a user to input a document password for decrypting a PDF document data encrypted by a predetermined application. A print data creating unit creates a print data including the PDF document data encrypted and the document password. The created print data is transmitted to the printer via the network by a host I/F controller and a host I/F.

An image forming system of the present invention includes an image forming section for forming an image on a sheet fed thereto. A stapler included in a finisher staples a stack of sheets each carrying image formed by the image forming section thereon. An image forming apparatus includes a staple/punch device which staples/punches a sheet output from the image forming apparatus in a predetermined area relative to an output sheet receiving unit of the apparatus, staple and/or punch position designating devices which designate a staple and/or punch position for the output sheet and a staple and/or punch instructing device which gives a staple and/or punch instruction to the staple/punch device. When the designated staple/punch position is out of the predetermined area, a staple/punch instruction deleting device can delete the staple/punch instruction.

Image forming apparatus which prevents improper stapling and punching operations

An image processing device of the present invention includes a storage for storing image data and a printer for printing images on a plurality of copies of sheets in accordance with the image data. The printer produces a single copy of printings at a time on the basis of a plurality of pages of image data stored in the storage. When a plurality of copies of printings are desired, and if a copy proof mode is selected, the operation of the printer is interrupted before the printer produces the second copy of printings. The operation of the printing section is resumed in response to a print restart command. The image processing device therefore allows the operator desiring a plurality of copies of printings to proof a printed image before the image is printed on the second sheet.

An image forming apparatus is capable of effecting, without resorting a precise staple command, adequate finishing matching with an environment including the condition of papers, thereby reducing defective printings when stapling is desired. When a rough stapling position, e.g., the top left corner or the top right corner of a paper is designated via a rough command inputting device, papers can be stapled in a desired pattern with high probability.
