A bulb-type light source apparatus includes a light source and a light guide member. The light source is provided annularly. The light guide member includes an outer surface, a light-incident end surface opposing the light source, and an optical pattern portion configured to emit, from the outer surface, light that enters from the light-incident end surface.

According to an embodiment of the present technology, there is provided a bulb-type light source apparatus including a light source unit, a translucent cover, and a base unit. The translucent cover includes a first area including a convex lens function and a second area including a concave lens function. The base unit supports the light source unit and the translucent cover such that the second area is positioned closer to the light source unit than the first area.

Disclosed is an ophthalmologic apparatus, such as a slit lamp microscope, which is improved in terms of cable routing when an imaging apparatus is used, thereby achieving an improvement in operability for the examiner, mitigating the bother or discomfort for the subject, and realizing an improved outward appearance.
