When an initial position of an enabling switch is given as a first position (), a position of the enabling switch in which a movable member is most pressed is given as a third position (), and a rising start position of a maximum rise of a load is given as a second position (), the rising start position being between the first position () and the third position (), a minor peak () of the load appears between the first position () and the second position (). An ON switching position () is between a falling start position () of the minor peak () and the second position (). A maximum load during the minor peak () is greater than or equal to the load in the ON switching position () and less than or equal to the load in an OFF switching position ().

Enabling switch

A safety switch is described in which a switching contact in a lock mechanism switches between an open and closed condition. Switching is coupled to a lock member moveable between a locked position, locking a drive cam, and an unlocked position, allowing the cam to rotate. A link member, cooperating with the lock member, switches between open and closed conditions of normally-open and normally-closed switching contacts, indicating movement of the lock member between the locked position and the unlocked position. By monitoring the open and closed conditions of the normally-open and normally-closed switching contacts, it is possible to determine the state of the lock member, i.e., whether it is in the locked position or in the unlocked position. It therefore can be determined whether the drive cam is in the locked or unlocked (i.e., free to rotate) state.

Safety switch

A door lock apparatus with safety switch capable of locking a door. A coupling member is pivotally moved about a pivotal shaft by a closing operation by a rotary handle, thereby bringing an engaging portion thereof into engagement with a fixing member, so that a protective door is inhibited from moving in two directions of arrows X, Y including a moving direction of the door. Whether the door is of a slide or pivot type, the door is assuredly locked in a closed state because the door is inhibited from moving in the two directions including the moving direction thereof. If an operation mistake is made to open the door, the force for opening the door is not directly applied to the switch body or the actuator. A safety switch may achieve an increase in durability.

Door lock device with safety switch

A safety holder is provided that firmly attaches to a safety switch so that safety of a worker is enhanced. The safety holder includes a base bodythat is inserted into an actuator insertion opening, and limits rotation of a drive camby engaging at a tip end portion (hanging portionC) thereof with a concave portion of the drive camof the safety switch, and a slide body that is movably attached to the base bodyso as to be insertable into an actuator insertion openingwith the base bodyinserted in the actuator insertion opening, and when the slide body is inserted into the actuator insertion opening, that enters and engages with an engagement holeof the base bodywhose tip end portion (insertion arm) is being inserted into the insertion opening

Safety holder

A safety switch is provided which is increased in durability and which offers a high degree of freedom of mounting the safety switch to place. A switch body has a rectangular solid shape. An actuator entrance hole is formed at one of the opposite corner portions of the switch body whereas a cable lead-out port is formed at the other corner portion, whereby the safety switch is increased in the degree of mounting freedom. Thus is offered a wider choice of place to mount the safety switch. The switch body is formed with only one actuator entrance hole so that the safety switch is prevented from suffering failure caused by foreign substances invading through an actuator entrance hole left unused. In addition, a driving cam may be formed with an engaging portion and a cam curve portion in spaced relation so that the driving cam is configured to be free from an area having poor strength. Thus, the driving cam is increased in strength. This leads to the increased durability of the safety switch.

In a case where a left-hand push-button switch is ON, a second relay RLis electrically de-energized to open a normally close contact RL-of the second relay RLso that a relay contact circuit RC is opened. If, in this state, a right-hand push-button switch is shifted to a second OFF state, a normally close contact R-of the right-hand push-button switch is opened. Thus, a third relay RLis not electrically de-energized and a first and a second circuits are in cutoff until both the right-hand and the left-hand push-button switches are returned to a first OFF state.

Enabler of teaching pendant

There are provided, together with two microswitches accommodated in a cylindrical compartment a manipulation member which can freely swing about a pivot portion in the directions of arrows A and B, a transmission member which can freely move in reciprocating motion within a specific range between a transmitting position and a non-transmitting position located along a radial direction of an arc which is the trajectory of the swing motion of the manipulation member in the directions of the arrows A and B, a contact member which can freely move in reciprocating motion within a specific range between an exposed position and a retracted position in the directions of arrows E and F, a driven member which can freely move in reciprocating motion in the directions of arrows G and H, and a restricting part fixed at a position opposing the contact member The swing motion of the manipulation member in the direction of the arrow B up to a point where the manipulation member goes into contact with the restricting part is transmitted to the microswitches via the transmission member and the driven member and the swing motion of the manipulation member in the direction of the arrow B is not transmitted to the microswitches after the contact member has gone into contact with the restricting part This arrangement makes it possible to achieve improved operability of an enable switch, enhanced safety with the provision of multiple contact mechanisms, and easier installation of the enable switch on a portable operator panel.
