The handrail disinfection system includes a tank to store disinfectant solution, an exudation part provided on the handrail, an actuator for exuding the disinfectant solution stored in the tank from the exudation part, and a controller for controlling the actuator. At least one processor included in the controller executes upon execution of at least one program, performing a disinfecting process in which the actuator is controlled to exude the disinfectant solution from the exudation part to a surface of the handrail when a predetermined execution condition is satisfied.

An electric brake actuator including a retracting torque applying mechanism that applies a retracting torque to a rotational shaft and including: a torsion spring; a stator including a first retaining portion retaining one end portion of the torsion spring; a rotor including a second retaining portion retaining the other end portion of the torsion spring and configured to be rotated relative to the stator so as to twist the torsion spring; and a clutch mechanism configured to selectively establish a clutch ON state and a clutch OFF state, wherein a first retaining portion prohibits the one end portion from being displaced in a forward rotational direction and includes a biasing member that biases the one end portion in the forward rotational direction, the first retaining portion being configured to allow the one end portion to be displaced in a reverse rotational direction against a biasing force of the biasing member.

An electric brake actuator configured to push a friction member onto a rotary body by advancing a piston by rotating an input shaft by an electric motor, including: a torque imparting device configured to impart, to an input shaft, a torque in a direction to retract a piston based on an elastic torque of a torsion spring and including a mechanism configured to allow a first retained portion provided at one end portion of the torsion spring to be retained by another one of a plurality of first retaining portions of a stator when the elastic torque exceeds a set upper-limit torque to decrease the elastic torque; and a mechanism configured to permit a second retained portion of a rotor to be retained by a second retaining portion provided at the other end portion of the spring to prohibit the elastic torque from becoming smaller than a set lower-limit torque.

A motion conversion mechanism includes: a cylindrical body having an internal screw and third gear teeth in an inner periphery thereof, the internal screw being provided in a screw region that is an intermediate region in an axial direction of the cylindrical body; a shaft body disposed coaxially with the cylindrical body inside the cylindrical body and having first gear teeth and a first external screw in an outer periphery thereof; and a plurality of planetary rollers. First planetary rollers among the planetary rollers mesh with the gear teeth formed in a first gear region and do not mesh with the gear teeth formed in a second gear region, and second planetary rollers among the planetary rollers mesh with the gear teeth formed in the second gear region and do not mesh with the gear teeth formed in the first gear region.

A method for detecting fluid leakage from a pressure-decrease valve in a hydraulic brake system having an ABS device including: a shutoff valve for shutting off supply of a working fluid from a fluid-pressure supply source to a brake device provided for a wheel; the pressure-decrease valve for discharging the working fluid from the brake device; a reservoir for storing the working fluid discharged from the pressure-decrease valve; and a return pump for returning the working fluid stored in the reservoir to a portion between the shutoff valve and the fluid-pressure supply source, the method including the steps of: activating the return pump in a state in which the hydraulic brake system is not in ABS operation, and detecting the fluid leakage from the pressure-decrease valve based on a variation in a pressure of the working fluid in the fluid-pressure supply source caused when the return pump is activated.

Method for detecting fluid leakage

In an electromagnetic valve in which a valve body unit is housed in a housing, the unit has a plunger including a groove portion at its cylindrical outer peripheral face. The groove portion extends in the cylinder axis direction and moves in the cylinder axis direction by an electromagnetic force generated by an electromagnetic coil. A rod is secured to the plunger and abuts against a valve seat for opening and closing the valve when the plunger is moved to close the valve and releasing the abutment of the rod against the seat when the plunger is moved to open the valve. A cylindrical sleeve covers the outer peripheral face of the plunger and is configured integrally with the plunger. A communication passage defined by the groove portion of the plunger and the inner peripheral face of the sleeve extends in the cylinder axis direction.

Electromagnetic valve

A first ECU estimates whether the operation of a second actuator has been started, based on the variation of the hydraulic pressure with respect to the flow rate of hydraulic fluid outputted from a first actuator. Even in a case where the operation information of the second actuator is not received, the first ECU sets the control mode to a simultaneous operation mode, when it is estimated that the operation of the second actuator has been started. In the simultaneous operation mode, a controlled parameter of linear control valves on assumption that the second actuator is operating is set up, and a stop instruction of regenerative braking is transmitted to a hybrid ECU.

Electromagnetic linear valve

A normally closed solenoid valve includes a valve element arranged to be seatable on and unseatable from a valve seat. A movable core is movable with the valve element. A first spring biases the valve element and the movable core toward the valve seat. A coil and a stator core generate an electromagnetic force resistive to a load of the first spring for the movable core. A second spring applies a load smaller than and resistive to the load of the first spring to the valve element and the movable core. The valve further includes a load adjusting mechanism for adjusting the load of the first spring, and a stroke adjusting mechanism for adjusting an unseating stroke of the valve element from the valve seat.
