A power conversion device includes a converter circuit, an inverter circuit including a switching element, a first capacitor, a buffer circuit, and a current supply circuit. The converter circuit converts a first alternating current into a direct current, and outputs the direct current to a pair of wires. The inverter circuit converts the direct current into a second alternating current by a switching operation of the switching element, and supplies the second alternating current to drive coils of a motor so that a drive shaft is rotationally driven. The first capacitor and the buffer circuit are connected between the pair of wires. The buffer circuit includes a second capacitor and a regulator connected in series. The current supply circuit supplies a current to support coils using energy stored in the second capacitor so that a load of the drive shaft is supported in a non contact manner.

Power conversion device

A power supply circuit supplies a current from a DC voltage source to first and second actuator coils to support an object in a non-contact manner by electromagnetic force. The power supply circuit includes a first leg connected to the DC voltage source, and a control unit. The first leg has first upper and lower arm switching elements connected in series. The control unit turns the switching elements on and off to control the current supplied to the actuator coils. A midpoint between the switching elements is connected to a connection point between the actuator coils. A freewheeling diode is provided for each of the switching elements in parallel. The control unit performs control so that the current flows through the first actuator coil in a direction toward the connection point, and the current flows through the second actuator coil in a direction coming out of the connection point.

Power supply circuit and bearing device provided with same

In a storage system including a plurality of battery units, the charge/discharge amounts of the battery units are determined by predetermined computation using the state of charge (SOC). The predetermined computation includes allocating a larger discharge amount to a battery unit higher in SOC, out of the battery units, in the discharge mode, and allocating a larger charge amount to a battery unit lower in SOC, out of the battery units, in the charge mode.

Charge/discharge control method for storage system and charge/discharge control device

At least one of a start abnormality detector (), a temperature abnormality detector () and a voltage abnormality detector () has a latch inhibiting circuit for inhibiting retention of a detecting state when one of the abnormality detectors detects an abnormality, so that a current abnormality detector () can be inhibited from detecting an abnormal input current caused when the oscillation is halted by the abnormality detector. Accordingly, after the abnormality is removed, automatic resetting can be easily accomplished without causing the oscillation to halt as a result of the current abnormality detector detecting the presence of the abnormality. Also, since a power source abnormality detecting circuit () is designed in the form of an analog circuit, a low cost can be achieved and the monitoring level can be modified. In addition, the monitoring level associated only with the temperature abnormality occurring in an IGBT element () can be modified.

Inverter power source control for high frequency heater

An oscillation control signal generated by an inverter power source control circuit () includes a reference voltage setting signal for approximating the current waveform of the AC output form the AC power source () to a sinusoidal wave by making both sides of the waveform generate current according to the fluctuation of the PWM control signal, and a waveform shaping signal consisting of a peak adjustment signal of a sinusoidal waveform for approximating the waveform peak portion of the current waveform to a sinusoidal wave by subtraction. Accordingly, even if the PWM control signal fluctuates, it is possible to automatically improve the power factor of the power source circuit to a value higher than a predetermined value by approximating the current waveform of the AC output from the AC power source to the sinusoidal wave, thereby improving the efficiency of the power source.
