According to one embodiment, a touch detection device includes first detection electrodes in a detection area, second detection electrodes in the detection area, extending to intersect the first detection electrodes, first control lines connected to the first detection electrodes, respectively, and provided in a non-detection area, and second control lines connected to the second detection electrodes, respectively, and provided in the non-detection area. The second control lines overlap the first control lines at a plurality of positions as seen in plan view, such that areas of overlapping portions in which the first control lines overlap the second control lines are substantially equalized.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes signal lines, scanning lines, pixel switching elements, a signal line driving circuit, a scanning line driving circuit and a display pixel, wherein the signal line driving circuit is configured to apply a voltage, which is identical to a voltage of the counter-electrode, to all the signal lines when a control signal, which is supplied from an outside of the insulative substrate, is at a first logic level, and the scanning line driving circuit is configured to turn on all the pixel switching elements when the control signal is at the first logic level, and to turn off the pixel switching elements at different timings when the control signal is at a second logic level.

Display device

In one aspect, a liquid crystal display device includes a display region formed of plural divided regions in a row direction. First and second driving circuits are arranged to face each other interposing the display region therebetween in the row direction. The first driving circuit is connected with odd scanning lines, and the second driving circuit is connected with the even scanning lines. A channel area of the TFT of the pixels connected to the odd scanning lines is the smallest in the divided region nearest to the first driving circuit and becomes larger gradually in the divided regions distant from the first driving circuit. A channel area of the TFT of the pixels connected to the even scanning lines is the smallest in the divided region nearest to the second driving circuit and becomes larger gradually in the divided regions with distant from the second driving circuit.

Liquid crystal display device

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes an array substrate, a counter-substrate, a liquid crystal layer and a signal line driver. The array substrate includes a signal line, a pixel electrode, and a thin-film transistor. The counter-substrate includes a common electrode. The signal line driver is configured to deliver video signals of a positive polarity and a negative polarity to the signal line. The signal line driver is configured to deliver, prior to delivering the video signals to the signal line, a precharge signal to the signal line in every 1 horizontal scanning period.

According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a common electrode. A first driving circuit and a second driving circuit output a scanning signal to a scanning line and alternately output a first auxiliary capacitive voltage and a second auxiliary capacitive voltage to a auxiliary capacitive line. A first switching circuit is connected to the first driving circuit and alternately switches between a first state and a second state. A second switching circuit is connected to the second driving circuit and alternately switches between the first state and the second state.

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel having a display section which is composed of a plurality of display pixels, a driving unit which drives the display pixels, and a control unit which controls the driving unit. A first substrate includes pixel electrodes which are disposed in association with the plurality of display pixels. A second substrate includes a counter-electrode which is opposed to the plurality of pixel electrodes. A pair of alignment films are disposed on the plurality of pixel electrodes and the counter-electrode, and control an alignment state of liquid crystal molecules, which are included in the liquid crystal layer, by rubbing treatment. Dummy display pixels are disposed on a terminal end side of the display section in a rubbing direction. A driving unit includes circuit for cyclically applying a reverse transition prevention signal to the dummy display pixels.

In order to reduce the scale of drive ICs and to prevent uneven display in signal line selective drive, in this liquid crystal display device, for each group in which one video output line corresponds to N signal lines, the signal line is switched and connected to the video output line via an analog switch ASW. Thus, the number of the video output lines is reduced to 1/N. Moreover, as to an Lth scan line, for each of the groups, a signal line to which a video signal having its polarity inverted between an L-1th scan line and the Lth scan line is supplied is selected first and a signal line to which a video signal having its polarity not inverted is supplied is selected later. Thus, a video signal in which a polarity is not inverted and no potential change occurs is supplied to the signal line later.

In a flat panel display device in which driving circuits and the like are arranged on an array substrate, a technology to realize a compact size and a low cost of an external control circuit is disclosed. At least one pumping circuit included in the external control circuit is arranged on the array substrate, and an output side capacitor connected between an output portion of the pumping circuit and the ground GND and an input side capacitor of a clock input portion are arranged outside the array substrate.

Pumping circuit and flat panel display device

An object of the present invention is to provide a display device in which a display quality is excellent and a timing margin is large. A signal line driving circuit in a display device has a shift register. Each of the register circuit in the shift register has latch circuits of two stages connected in cascade, an inverter connected to an output terminal of the latch circuit, and clocked inverters connected to an output terminal connected to the inverter. Because the present invention minimizes the number of gate stages from when a start signal is inputted to the shift register, until when the control signal is inputted to analog switches for supplying an analog pixel voltage to the signal lines. Therefore, there is not a likelihood to be influenced by a dispersion of properties of TFTs in the circuits, thereby enlarging an operational margin. Furthermore, because a pulse cut circuit staggers a timing in which the analog switches turn from OFF to ON, there is not a likelihood that the adjacent analog switches turn ON at the same time.

Display device with a switching circuit turned on/off by a shift register output

A liquid crystal display realizes high resolution without enlarging a frame area of an array substrate in the display. The display connects analog switch pairs each consisting of a p-TFT and an n-TFT to signal lines, respectively. Among the TFTs, those having the same polarity and connected to adjacent signal lines are provided with drain electrodes that are connected to a video bus through a common contact hole. Sharing the contact holes among the TFTs enables the switch pairs to be juxtaposed at fine pixel pitches.
