A fluid simulating method includes extracting, based on positional information included in particle data of particles during a predetermined time period, a first particle with a predetermined value or less of distance from a fluid particle and a second particle with the predetermined value or less of distance from the first particle from among wall boundary particles related to a boundary with a wall. The method may also include setting a boundary condition of a pressure Poisson equation for calculating pressure to be applied to each of the particles, and calculating pressure to be applied to each of the particles, based on the extracted first particle and the extracted second particle. The method may also include calculating particle data of the particles during a next time period based on the calculated pressure.

When simulating behavior of particles in a space having regions and subject to analysis, by processes of a predetermined number fewer than the number of regions, a particle simulation apparatus assigns the regions of the predetermined number, which are selected in descending order of the number of particles included in each of the regions, to differing processes among the processes of the predetermined number. The particle simulation apparatus sequentially assigns unassigned regions in descending order of the number of particles included in each of the unassigned regions, to the process for which the number of particles included in the regions already assigned to each of the processes of the predetermined number is the smallest.

A disclosed modelling method includes: calculating a first function for generating data of a closed surface that contains plural points representing an annular structure in an object, based on positional information of the plural points; generating data of a first point set representing a boundary of the object, from tomographic image data; detecting data of points which are included in the first point set and located inside the closed surface by using the first function; removing the detected data of points from the data of the first point set to generate data of a second point set; calculating a second function for generating data of a shape of the object using the data of the second point set and data of the plural points; and storing data of the shape of the object, which is generated by using the second function, in the memory.

Modeling method and apparatus

A processor calculates, in accordance with a convex hull configuration algorithm, an interface of a fluid model expressing the fluid as a collection of particles according to an input boundary condition and initial condition. The processor calculates surface energy of the calculated interface. The processor calculates surface tension of the interface according to the calculated surface energy. The processor outputs, for each predetermined time interval, a state of the fluid according to the calculated surface tension.

A simulation device includes a deformation unit and a calculation unit. The deformation unit deforms a spherical potential region of each of a plurality of particles when a deformable continuum is represented by the plurality of particles into an ellipsoidal potential region based on the amount of deformation of each of the plurality of particles. Simulation device, method and program product to determine physical quantity of a plurality of particles under disturbance

A state of a particle which was in a liquid state at a first time is calculated at a second time after the first time when a continuum including a liquid and a solid is represented by the plurality of particles. It is determined whether the particle has become a first solid particle at the second time. The first solid particle and all particles belonging to a solid which includes a second solid particle arranged in a predetermined range from the first solid particle are defined as particles belonging to the same solid when it is determined that the particle which was in the liquid state at the first time has become the first solid particle at the second time. The state of each of the particles belonging to the same solid is calculated using an equation of motion of a rigid body.

A mapping method includes; mapping first and second models, each represented by polygonal elements of meshes and including a same number of regions, to a first and a second spherical surfaces, respectively; approximating boundaries of the regions by curves and moving nodes based on the curve approximation; associating the nodes on the boundary of first sphere with points on the boundary of the second sphere; moving the nodes other than the nodes on the boundary by minimizing changes of shapes and areas of the polygonal elements under a constraint that the nodes on the boundary of the first sphere are placed at positions corresponding to the associated points on the second sphere; and calculating a point in the second model for each of the nodes in the first model, from the corresponding node after the movement on the first sphere and corresponding polygonal elements on the second sphere.

An object motion analysis apparatus includes a processor configured to generate a connection element connecting multiple first particles included in a first object based on physical quantity data of the first particles, refer to physical quantity data of a second particle included in a second object, calculate a shortest distance between the second particle and the generated connection element, calculate a repulsive force between the first object and the second particle based on the calculated shortest distance, and analyze motion of the first object and the second object based on the calculated repulsive force.

The simulation program, simulation method, and simulation device are characterized in that with respect to a fluid model representing the fluid as a collection of particles, a surface tension of an interface against another phase which is different from the phase of the fluid is calculated using a function to calculate a surface energy of the interface, and the shape change in the fluid is calculated on the basis of the calculated surface tension.
