Provided is a negative electrode in which during manufacture thereof a negative electrode paste has an appropriate viscosity, and which is capable of preventing an increase in resistance of a battery when left at a high temperature for a long period of time. A negative electrode disclosed herein includes a negative electrode current collector, and a negative electrode active material layer supported by the negative electrode current collector. The negative electrode active material layer contains a negative electrode active material, and a trace component. The trace component is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ti, Si, Ca, and Cr. The content of the trace component is not less than 10 mass ppm and not more than 800 mass ppm with respect to the negative electrode active material.

Negative electrode

An all-solid-state battery includes a solid electrode body including a positive electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a negative electrode layer, and a laminate film that stores the solid electrode body. The laminate film has a fragile part with respect to a needle-like foreign substance. The strength of the fragile part is lower than the strength of a part of the laminate film other than the fragile part.

All-solid-state battery

A determination unit that determines whether a driver of a vehicle is dozing or looking away based on a state of the driver, a smart contact lens worn on an eyeball of the driver, and a display control unit that causes the smart contact lens to display a warning when the determination unit determines that the driver is dozing or looking away are provided.

Vehicle warning system

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode active material layer on a part of a surface of the positive electrode current collector containing a positive electrode active material, and an insulating layer on other parts of the surface of the positive electrode current collector containing an inorganic filler. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode current collector, and a negative electrode active material layer on a part of a surface of the negative electrode current collector containing a negative electrode active material. The insulating layer includes a first insulating layer disposed along an end portion of the positive electrode active material layer, and a second insulating layer formed at a position separated from the first insulating layer and facing an end portion of the negative electrode active material layer.

Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery

A display control device includes a processor. The processor acquires a vehicle state, and displays, at spatial coordinates set above an instrument panel in a vehicle cabin, a predetermined icon corresponding to the vehicle state via a lens that is able to be attached to an eyeball of an occupant. Thus, the occupant can grasp the vehicle state without having the vehicle condition displayed on a display in a vehicle cabin.

A lithium ion secondary battery suppressed in heat generation entailed by charging and discharging is provided. A lithium ion secondary battery includes a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode collector, a positive electrode active material layer provided at some part of the surface of the positive electrode collector, and including a positive electrode active material, and an insulation layer provided so as to be at the other part of the surface of the positive electrode collector and to be adjacent to the positive electrode active material layer. The insulation layer includes an inorganic filler, LPO, and a binder.

Lithium ion secondary battery

A negative electrode that enables resistance of a battery to be lowered is provided. The negative electrode disclosed herein includes a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode mixture supported by the negative electrode current collector. The negative electrode mixture contains a negative electrode active material. The negative electrode current collector is made of copper or a copper alloy. A surface of the negative electrode current collector is coated by chromium. A coating amount A of chromium with respect to the negative electrode current collector is 5 &#x3bc;g/dmor more and 60 &#x3bc;g/dmor less. Blackness B of the negative electrode mixture is 3 or higher and 30 or lower. The coating amount A and the blackness B satisfy 60&#x2264;A&#xd7;B&#x2264;900. The blackness B is a value obtained according to the disclosed method.

Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which LiPOis added to a positive electrode active material layer and the increase of battery temperature when the voltage rises is suppressed. The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery disclosed herein includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The positive electrode has a positive electrode active material layer. The positive electrode active material layer includes a positive electrode active material, LiPO, and acetic anhydride. The content of LiPOin the positive electrode active material layer is 1% by mass or more and 15% by mass or less. The content of acetic anhydride in the positive electrode active material layer is 0.02% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less.

Nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery

Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which LiPOis added to a positive electrode active material layer and the increase of battery temperature when the voltage rises is suppressed. The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery disclosed herein includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. The positive electrode has a positive electrode active material layer. The positive electrode active material layer includes a positive electrode active material, LiPO, and polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of saponification of 86% by mole or more. The content of LiPOin the positive electrode active material layer is 1% by mass or more and 15% by mass or less. The content of the polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of saponification of 86% by mole or more in the positive electrode active material layer is 0.05% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less.

Provided is a battery pack having a plurality of single cells connected to one another, the battery pack being capable of preventing a temperature elevation caused by a short-circuit current that is generated when a sharp conductive foreign matter penetrates each of the single cells. In the battery pack disclosed herein, the single cells are arranged alternately adjacent to one another, and these adjacent single cells are electrically connected in series, and layered electrode bodies of these single cells have the following configurations. Among positive electrode sheets and negative electrode sheets, a negative electrode sheet is disposed on the uppermost stream side, and an endothermic agent is disposed as a layer between this negative electrode sheet and a positive electrode sheet.
