A lighting device includes an LED light source that emits light having a first peak wavelength in a range from 200 to 470 nm and a second peak wavelength in a range from 460 to 700 nm. An emission intensity at the second peak wavelength is greater than an emission intensity at the first peak wavelength, and an emission intensity at a wavelength band of 720 nm or greater is one tenth or less than an emission intensity at the second peak wavelength.

Lighting device

A lighting device includes an LED light source that emits light having a first peak wavelength at 430 to 460 nm and a second peak wavelength at 530 to 570 nm.

An insect pest-controlling apparatus () includes a light-reflecting attraction unit () that reflects sunlight and a trap () to trap insects attracted to light reflected by the light-reflecting attraction unit (). The light-reflecting attraction unit () is a reflector whose reflectance of 220 to 390 nm light wavelength components is 5% or less. Because the light-reflecting attraction unit () reflects almost no ultraviolet rays, the contrast of ultraviolet rays is increased in the space compared with sunlight by the insect pest-controlling apparatus () and diurnal agricultural insect pests are strongly attracted to the light-reflecting attraction unit (). Accordingly, diurnal agricultural insect pests can be attracted and trapped in large quantities in the daytime.

Insect pest-controlling apparatus

An illumination apparatus includes an LED light source including one or more LEDs. A spectrum of lights emitted from the LED light source has a first peak wavelength in a wavelength band ranging from 380 nm to 470 nm and a second peak wavelength in a wavelength band ranging from 500 nm to 700 nm, and a half width of the first peak wavelength is set to be equal to or less than 20 nm.

Illumination apparatus to reduce insect attractancy

A plant growing system of the present invention includes: a first light source for irradiating red light to a plant; a second light source for irradiating far-red light to the plant; a control part that controls irradiation operations of the first light source and the second light source; and a time setting part that sets a time zone in which the control part operates the irradiation of the first light source and the second light source. The time setting part is designed such that the first light source starts red light irradiation before sunset; and the second light source starts far-red light irradiation after the red light irradiation.

Plant growing system

A lighting apparatus for controlling a plant disease is provided to reliably inhibit a spore formation and a hyphal growth of a filamentous fungi, reliably induce a disease resistance, prevent a leaf scorch, and promote a growth of a plant. A UV light source repeats a light irradiation which has an irradiation pattern of combining a light irradiation, in which UV-C and UV-B and a visible light are superimposed, with a visible light irradiation alone at least twice a day. The emission of UV-B and UV-C enables the reliable inhibition of the spore formation of the filamentous fungi, for example. Its intermittent emission prevents a plant from getting too used to ultraviolet rays, promotes a generation of an antibacterial substance, for example, and prevents a leaf scorch. The continuous emission of the visible light enables a promotion of a growth of the plant.

Lighting apparatus for controlling plant disease

A lighting system for preventing a plant disease damage is provided with an ultraviolet light source which emits ultraviolet ray including UV-B in a wavelength region of 255 to 340 nm, a visible light source which emits visible light, and controllers which control a lighting of the ultraviolet light source and the visible light source. The controller controls the lighting of the ultraviolet light source so that a horizontal irradiance on a canopy surface of a plant is 50 &#x3bc;W/cmor less during a predetermined daytime period. The controller controls the lighting of the visible light source so that a horizontal illuminance on a canopy surface of a plant is 10 lux or less during a predetermined nighttime period. The lighting system promotes a component change of the plant effectively by a stimulation by the UV-B irradiation and the prolonged irradiation time of the visible light which is associated with a vegetative growth, so that a nutritional component of the plant can stably be increased. Moreover, the lighting of the ultraviolet light source and the visible light source is controlled by the controllers, thus a user effort is reduced and efficiency is achieved.

Lighting system for preventing plant disease damage

Disclosed is a lighting device for use in the control of a plant disease, which has a light source capable of emitting light containing ultraviolet ray. The light source can emit both of UV-B having a wavelength component with a wavelength of about 280 to 340 um and UV-C in which a wavelength component with a wavelength of about 255 nm or less is cut off from wavelength components with wavelengths of about 100 to 280 nm to plant in a superimposed manner. The irradiation of a plant with the UV-C and the UV-B ensures to further inhibit the spore formation or the hypha growth of a filamentous fungus that causes a disease or the like, and to induce a resistance against a disease in the plant.
