Thrust washer

A toy vehicle having a chassis and a plurality of wheels mounted on the chassis includes a wind up motor which is connected to at least one of the wheels. At least one detent is located in association with the wheel which is connected to the wind up motor. A member is mounted on the vehicle which is capable of engaging with the detent whenever the wheels of the vehicle no longer contact a support surface. Contact of the member in the detent prevents unwinding of the motor. Thus, whenever the wheels of the vehicle are not supported on the contact surface such as when the vehicle is overturned or the like the motor is prevented from unwinding.

Self-righting vehicle with means for locking drive wheel

A launching device for wheeled toy vehicles has a housing with a vehicle support surface located on the housing. An opening is located in the support surface so as to allow one of the wheels of the vehicle to be partially located within the opening. An element in the housing is movable toward and away from the opening and when moved toward the opening with the wheel of the vehicle located in the opening the element contacts the wheel to lift the wheel out of the opening so as to launch the vehicle from the housing. A release lever is connected to the element so as to lift the element toward the opening when it is desirable to release the vehicle from the housing.

Device for controlling wheeled vehicles

In a signal processing device, such as a television receiver, a multiplex signal processing circuit with a switching device for selecting either a first image signal and a second image signal. A clamping circuit is provided for clamping the pedestal potential of the second signal at a reference voltage, a comparator compares the pedestal potential of the first signal with the reference voltage, and the pedestal potential of the first signal is equalized to the reference signal in accordance with the comparator output.

Signal processing unit

A toy which can repetitively move with respect to the medium supporting it has a toy body with at least one appendage movably mounted to the body. A portion of that appendage is exposed from the body and is positioned to contact the supporting medium. A mechanism within the body is operatively connected to the appendage for moving the appendage such that the portion of the appendage exposed from the body can move in a first direction at one velocity and a second direction at a different velocity. A portion of the mechanism moves with rotary motion which is transferred by another portion of the mechanism to cause still a further portion of the mechanism to move with linear motion. The portion of the mechanism moving with linear motion is operatively connected to the appendage to move the appendage.

Toy having appendage capable of moving in two directions

A toy has a body in the shape of a characterized animal. At least one of the extremities, preferably the head, is attached to a movable member which moves between a retracted position wherein the majority of the member is located inside the body to an extended position wherein the greatest portion of the member is located external of the body. The toy includes a mechanism which will move the member from its extended position to its retracted position upon activation of a mechanism at least a portion of which is exposed outside the body for manipulation by the operator. The member in going from its extended position to its retracted position reaches its retracted position and then automatically reverses itself until it is once again extended.

Toy having member capable of going from a first position to a second

A toy vehicle has a first and a second surface which are spaced apart from one another and reversibly serve as the top and bottom of a vehicle. When one of the surfaces is serving as the top of the vehicle the opposite surface of the vehicle is serving as the bottom of the vehicle. The vehicle includes wheel members which are capable of supporting the vehicle over a support surface no matter which of the surfaces of the vehicle is serving as the top or the bottom. Also incorporated in the vehicle is an inverting mechanism which alternately inverts the vehicle such that the surface serving as the top of the vehicle after inverting serves as the bottom of the vehicle and the surface serving as the bottom of the vehicle after inverting serves as the top of the vehicle.

Toy vehicle capable of traveling on both its top and bottom surfaces

Structures which are considered to be primarily useful as toys can be constructed utilizing members or arms adjustably mounted on a rotating shaft within the body of such a structure. By shifting the positions of such members or arms the type of movement of such a structure on a supporting surface can be varied. If desired, adjacent of such structures may be connected through the use of flexible couplings such as suction cups.

Moving toys

A game employing a gun capable of emitting a light beam can be played using a target apparatus which ejects objects each time this apparatus is appropriately actuated by a light beam. The target apparatus includes a turntable which is capable of being rotated by a motor. The turntable includes a plurality of holders, each of which is adapted to hold an object to be ejected from the apparatus. An ejection lever is mounted on the base of the apparatus so as to be capable of ejecting an object from a holder positioned directly above it. After such an object is ejected the motor rotates the turntable. Structures are provided for returning the ejection lever to a position in which it can eject an object from an adjacent holder and for indexing the turntable so that an adjacent holder is above the lever as a result of such rotation of the turntable. A circuit including a photocell is provided on the apparatus for operation of the ejection lever so as to eject an object from a holder positioned above this lever.

Target apparatus for ejecting articles

An apparatus for projecting a light beam is disclosed which is constructed so as to simulate a gun. Within the apparatus a light bulb is mounted upon a base having a spherical surface. This base is resiliently engaged by a bearing having a correspondingly shaped interior in such a manner that the position of the bulb may be adjusted slightly so that the filament of the bulb is correctly positioned relative to a lens used in projecting a light beam. In the apparatus the bulb and the lens are separated by a shutter mechanism. The apparatus includes a trigger which, when actuated, first closes a switch to supply electric power to the light bulb and then causes the release of a shutter actuator serving to move the shutter so that it opens and closes within a comparatively short time interval.

Apparatus for projecting a light beam
