A vehicle seat having fewer components and having a pitching mechanism advantageous for strength/rigidity is provided. The vehicle seat includes: a base frame mounted in a vehicle compartment; a cushion frame pin-connected to a first connecting point of the base frame to be capable of a forward leaning operation; a back frame disposed to be capable of a reclining operation with respect to the cushion frame; a front link swingably pin-connected at a proximal end side thereof with a second connecting point of the base frame and slidably connected at a distal end side thereof with the cushion frame; a lock unit for locking the cushion frame to the base frame at a seated position and regulating a pitching operation of the main frame; and a release member for releasing a locked state.

Vehicle seat

Provided is a vehicle seat having a pitching function, which not only has an assist function for bringing a main frame to a seated position or a forward tilted position, but also prevents the increase in the width and the increase in the weight of the seat. The vehicle seat includes: a base frame; a main frame disposed on the base frame and having a back frame and a cushion frame; and a link mechanism that allows the main frame to swing to the seated position and the forward tilted position with respect to the base frame. A third rotating shaft of the link mechanism is provided with a torsion spring that urges the main frame to swing from the forward tilted position to the seated position.

The seat back () has: a first member () which is formed in a plate-like shape; and a second member () with a hat-shaped cross-section, which is configured so that a flange section () is in contact with one surface, in a thickness direction, of the first member (). The center bead () is configured so that a longitudinal end of the center bead () and the second member () are overlapped in a plan view viewed in the thickness direction of the first member (). An armrest for a vehicle seat that is rotatable with respect to a seat back of the vehicle seat, and the armrest includes a bracket that is configured to support a rotation shaft of the armrest, the hollow plastic shell to which the bracket is joined and a trim cover that covers the hollow plastic shell.

A method and apparatus for manufacturing a bulb wherein a bead mount and a glass bulb are set in a recess in an upper surface of a heater arranged inside a hermetically sealed chamber, a first gas comprised of one component of a composition of a sealing gas in the glass bulb or an inert gas excluding the sealing gas is supplied to the chamber at a predetermined pressure after the chamber is evacuated, a second gas comprised of a remaining component of the sealing gas or all of the components thereof is sprayed in a space between the glass bulb and the bead mount at a pressure higher than that of the first gas to exhaust the first gas from the space within the glass bulb. The heater is energized after the substitution of the gas within the space of the bulb is performed, or while the gas substitution in the space is being performed, in order to heat and melt an edge portion of the bead mount and glass bulb to seal the glass bulb to the bead mount with the second gas sealed within the glass bulb.
