A power system includes: a direct-current bus to which a power generation device and a plurality of power devices are connected; and a plurality of battery devices connected at predetermined intervals from one end of the direct-current bus to another end and configured to supply and receive power to and from the direct-current bus.

A superconducting fault current limiter () is provided with superconducting elements () that are in a superconducting state during electrification with a current value in a fixed range and in a normal conducting state during electrification with a fault current in which the current value exceeds the fixed range and is further provided with a coolant vessel (), which accommodates a liquid coolant () and a plurality of superconducting elements, and a cooling means () that cools the liquid coolant within the coolant vessel. Within the liquid coolant, the superconducting element () for which the critical current is smallest among the plurality of superconducting elements is disposed on the upper side of any other superconducting elements (). Thus, the superconducting element () is cooled, and the life of the superconducting fault current limiter as a whole is extended.

A superconducting oxide thin film includes a superconducting layer formed on a supporting material. The superconducting layer includes an RE-based superconductor as a main component, and the RE-based superconductor includes a CuO chain that has a Cu vacancy portion.

An oxide superconducting thin film includes a substrate, and an intermediate layer and a superconducting layer provided in this order on the substrate. The intermediate layer has an average thickness of from 10 nm to 20 nm and a surface roughness Ra of 0.5 nm or less. The superconducting layer is formed on a surface of the intermediate layer and includes an oxide superconductor as a main component. A superconducting fault current limiter including the oxide superconducting thin film is also provided.

An oxide superconducting thin film includes a substrate having a single crystal structure, the main face of the substrate and a crystal face of the single crystal structure having an angle therebetween; an intermediate layer formed on the main face of the substrate and having an axis oriented in a direction perpendicular to the crystal face; and a superconducting layer formed on the intermediate layer and containing, as a main component, an oxide superconductor having a c-axis oriented in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the intermediate layer. A rotation sensor includes a first rotor constituted by a magnetic material and having an outer face that has first conductive layers disposed in two levels as viewed in the direction of a rotation axis and second conductive layers disposed outwardly of and between the first conductive layers, a second rotor having metal members corresponding to the first conductive layers of the first rotor, and a stationary core having a stationary core body that accommodates therein two exciting coils that are spaced from each other in the direction of the rotation axis. The second rotor is disposed between the first rotor mounted to a first shaft and the stationary core fixed to a stationary member, and is mounted to a second shaft which is rotatable relative to the first shaft.

A displacement sensor comprising: a detecting portion including a coil arranged in such manner that a relative position to a magnetic response substance varies in correspondence to a displacement of an object to be measured; an oscillating circuit to supply an alternating-current signal with a prescribed frequency to the detecting portion; an externally attached circuit connected to the detecting portion; and a displacement detecting means to detect the displacement of the object to be measured based on an amount of phase variation of an impedance in the detecting portion and the externally attached circuit, wherein parameters of the externally attached circuit are set in such manner that the amount of the phase variation by the displacement becomes larger than the amount of the phase variation by temperature variation.
