A sponge-forming silicone rubber composition is disclosed. The sponge-forming silicone rubber composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups per molecule; (B) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule; (C) water; (D) a thickener; (E) a surfactant; (F) a silane compound having silicon atom-bonded alkoxy groups, or a partially hydrolyzed condensate thereof; and (G) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst. The sponge-forming silicone rubber composition forms a silicone rubber sponge. In general, the silicone rubber sponge has excellent water absorption and water retentivity.

The present disclosure provides a curable silicone rubber composition containing 0.1 to 15 mass % of a biuret compound represented by the general formula: wherein Rrepresents the same or different alkyl groups having 1 to 6 carbons, Rrepresents the same or different alkyl groups having 1 to 3 carbons, Rrepresents the same or different alkylene groups having 2 to 6 carbons, and 'a' represents the same or different integers of from 0 to 2. The curable silicone rubber composition may be cured by a condensation reaction, an addition reaction, or the like. The curable silicone rubber composition generally has good adhesion to plastics, metals, and the like.

Curable silicone rubber composition

A heat resistant silicone rubber composition containing greater than or equal to 0.1 mass % each of titanium oxide and iron oxide is disclosed. The heat resistant silicone rubber composition can form a heat resistant silicone rubber suitable for use in a high temperature environment. A method of reducing formaldehyde and/or low molecular weight organopolysiloxane generated from a cured product of a heat resistant silicone rubber composition upon heating the cured product is also disclosed. The method comprises compounding greater than or equal to 0.1 mass % each of titanium oxide and iron oxide in the heat resistant silicone rubber composition. Generally, even when the cured product is heated to a high temperature, such as a temperature greater than or equal to 300&#xb0; C., generation of formaldehyde and/or low molecular weight organopolysiloxane (e.g. D4, D5, and D6) from the cured product can be reduced.

Heat resistant silicone rubber composition

An addition-reaction-curable silicone rubber composition comprising: 0.001 to 5 mass % of a metal deactivator and 0.001 to 5 mass % of a curing-retarder selected from an alcohol derivative having carbon-carbon triple bonds, an enzyme compound, an alkenyl-containing low-molecular-weight organosiloxane compound, or an alkyne-containing silane; and a molded body produced by curing the aforementioned addition-reaction-curable silicone rubber composition. The addition-reaction-curable silicone rubber composition is capable of producing a molded silicone rubber body, which is obtained with low compression set without resorting to secondary thermal treatment.

Thermoplastic elastomer composition and glass panel molding assembly for a vehicle

A thermoplastic resin composition comprising (A) a polyolefin-type thermoplastic elastomer or a similar thermoplastic resin, (B) an organopolysiloxane represented by the following average unit formula: RSiO{where Ris a univalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and 'a' is a number in the range of 1.95 to 2.05}, and (C) a metal deactivator; and a product molded from the aforementioned composition. The thermoplastic resin composition is suitable for obtaining molded products that are characterized by their ability to suppress development of defects on the product surfaces after long-term outdoor exposure.
