In a vehicle mirror, a heat generating body of a heater generates heat so as to heat a mirror body. A central side portion and an outer peripheral side portion of the heat generating body configure a thick portion and a thin portion, and the thin portion generates a smaller amount of heat than the thick portion, such that a heating density of the mirror body by the heat generating body is lower on an outer peripheral side portion of the mirror body than at a central side portion of the mirror body. Accordingly, the temperature of an outer peripheral portion of the mirror body can be suppressed from rising suddenly on progression from the outer peripheral side toward the central side of the mirror body, thereby enabling stress arising in the outer peripheral portion of the mirror body to be suppressed.

In a vehicle door mirror device (), an outer side surface (B), with respect to a vehicle, of a projection () of a door mirror stay () is made to be flat. Further, an angle of the outer side surface (B) with respect to a front-rear direction of the vehicle, inward or outward with respect to the vehicle, is not more than 2 degrees. Therefore, wind arriving at the outer side surface (B) flows rearward with respect to the vehicle with fluctuation thereof being suppressed, and its flow is straightened. Furthermore, a radius of curvature of a corner portion (E) at an outer rear side, with respect to the vehicle, of the projection () is not more than 15 mm. Therefore, wind arriving at the outer side surface (B) of the projection () is suppressed from flowing along the corner portion (E), and its flow is straightened. Thus, wind noise performance of the door mirror stay () can be improved. In addition, wind drawn in by the door mirror stay () toward a mirror and toward a side window can be reduced, and impairment of visibility can be suppressed.

An outer mirror and a vehicle interphone are provided for transmitting a sound to the outside from a vehicle cabin and vice versa. Sound outside the vehicle cabin is transmitted to the cabin from a microphone-loudspeaker provided in a visor cover of the outer mirror. The microphone-loudspeaker is supported on a frame having higher rigidity than the visor cover, which is mounted to a vehicle body via an electric accommodating unit and a door mirror base to promote shock resistance. The visor cover includes a sound-conducting opening in its bottom portion, and the microphone-loudspeaker is made waterproof to promote weather resistance.

A rear-view mirror for a vehicle. The rear-view mirror has a mirrow body at which is formed an accommodating member. A lamp house containing a lamp bulb and a secondary battery is accommodated in the accommodating member by holders for holding the lamp house from below. The lamp house is pulled out from the accommodating member to illuminate a desired position.

A housing for a member disposed at a vehicle exterior is formed by assembling a plurality of parts substantially in a vehicle longitudinal direction. At a matching portion when the plurality of parts are assembled together substantially in the vehicle longitudinal direction, a housing outer side end portion of a matching surface substantially at a vehicle frontward side is displaced further outward than a housing outer side end portion of a matching surface substantially at a vehicle rearward side. Or, the housing outer side end portion of the matching surface substantially at the vehicle rearward side may have a curved surface or a flat surface.
