Provided is a vehicle emergency stop system () including a control device configured to start execution of emergency stop control for causing an own vehicle to perform an emergency stop by performing braking control on the own vehicle when an operation of a driving operation device of the own vehicle is not detected for a predetermined time, and to end the execution of the emergency stop control when the operation is detected during the execution of the emergency stop control. The control device is configured to continue the emergency stop control when a collision between the own vehicle and an object is detected during the execution of the emergency stop control and the operation is detected within a first predetermined time from a first time point at which the collision is detected, and when the operation is detected during the execution of the emergency stop control and the collision is detected within a second predetermined time from a second time point at which the operation is detected.

Vehicle emergency stop system, vehicle emergency stop method, and vehicle emergency stop program

A vehicle control system includes an on-vehicle sensor for outputting a piece of information regarding an object around an own vehicle and a piece of information regarding a travel state of the own vehicle, a driving assistant ECU which has, as a risk reduction function, at least one of a lane departure prevention function and an emergency stop function, and a switching apparatus for enabling and disabling the risk reduction function. The lane departure prevention function prevents departure of the own vehicle from a lane in which the own vehicle is travelling. The emergency stop function stops the own vehicle when a driver is suffering from an abnormal condition. In the case where the own vehicle collides with an object in a state in which the risk reduction function has been disabled by the switching apparatus, the driving assistant ECU forcedly enables the risk reduction function.

Vehicle control system

A driving assistance apparatus performs a deployment control including at least a control to deploy an air-bag of a vehicle when an collision indicating value satisfies a predetermined collision condition, and performs a brake-and-drive control to make a driving force of the vehicle smaller than a required driving force of a driver of the vehicle or to apply a brake force to the vehicle when the collision indicating value does not satisfy the collision condition and/but satisfies a predetermined low impact collision condition that is to be satisfied when a low impact collision having a degree of collision lower than the collision has occurred. In addition, the driving assistance apparatus changes the low impact collision condition in such a manner that the low impact collision condition becomes satisfied more easily as an elapsed time of a state where an anomalous state condition is satisfied becomes longer. The anomalous state condition is a condition to be satisfied when the driver is not driving normally.

Driving assistance apparatus

A control unit performs a lane departure suppression control when a host vehicle is about to depart from a traveling lane. The control unit determines whether a low impact collision has occurred. The control unit performs a secondary collision damage mitigation control when the low impact collision is determined to have occurred while the lane departure suppression control is being performed.

A vehicle driving assist apparatus acquires a collision index value which represents a magnitude of a collision of an own vehicle and a dozing level of a driver of the own vehicle, and executes a secondary collision reducing control of executing a forcibly-decelerating process of forcibly decelerating the own vehicle when a light collision condition is satisfied, and a dozing condition is satisfied. The vehicle driving assist apparatus executes the forcibly-decelerating process so as to decelerate the own vehicle with controlling a deceleration of the own vehicle such that the deceleration of the vehicle realized when the light collision condition and the dozing condition become satisfied, and the dozing level is relatively low, is smaller than the deceleration of the own vehicle realized when the deceleration when the light collision condition and the dozing condition become satisfied, and the dozing level is relatively high.

Vehicle driving assist apparatus

A control unit determines whether a rapid acceleration pedal depression operation has been performed. The control unit determines whether a low impact collision has occurred. When it is determined that the rapid acceleration pedal depression operation has been performed and the low impact collision has occurred, the control unit executes a secondary collision damage mitigation control. Consequently, the secondary collision damage mitigation control can be appropriately executed even when a collision that does not cause an air bag to be inflated has occurred.

A driving assist apparatus comprises a driver monitor sensor which detects a state of a driver of an own vehicle installed with the driving assist apparatus. The apparatus determines whether the driver is in a drowsy state, based on the state of the driver detected by the driver monitor sensor. The apparatus determines that a light collision occurs when a light collision determination condition that at least one collision index value representing a level of a collision of the own vehicle is larger than a light collision determination threshold at which an airbag is not developed, is satisfied. The apparatus executes a secondary collision damage mitigation control to apply a braking force to the own vehicle or limit a driving force applied to the own vehicle when determining that the driver is in the drowsy state, and the light collision occurs.
