An end portion of a webbing belt is attached to a metal base plate, in which a hole is formed. A projecting portion is formed at an inner edge of the hole which inner edge is at a side opposite a belt attachment portion. When tension is applied to the webbing belt, due to a fixed plate engaging with the projecting portion, a tensed portion of the metal base plate between the belt attachment portion and the hole extends and the projecting portion contracts in the direction of the tension. As a result, first strain gauges mounted to the tensed portion output a signal corresponding to extension, and second strain gauges mounted to the projecting portion output a signal corresponding to contraction. A tension detecting device detects the tension on the basis of a large difference in outputs of the first strain gauges and the second strain gauges.

Tension detecting device

A buckle device including: a device main body into which is inserted a tongue plate provided at a webbing belt; a locking mechanism having a latch which is provided within the device main body so as to be engageable with the tongue plate when the tongue plate is inserted in the device main body, the locking mechanism restricting pulling-out of the tongue plate; a first detecting mechanism detecting the tongue plate which has been inserted in the device main body, and outputting a first detection signal; a second detecting mechanism detecting a position of the latch, and outputting a second detection signal; and a judging mechanism connected to the first detecting mechanism and the second detecting mechanism.

Buckle device

A plate spring urges a base of a buckle device toward an anchor insertion opening side with respect to an anchor plate. Provided that urging force of the plate spring exceeds urging force of a spiral spring, the base is held, by the urging force of the plate spring, at a position at which a rivet contacts an insertion direction side end portion of a long hole. However, when the urging force of the spiral spring exceeds the urging force of the plate spring due to, in order to attach a child seat, pulling out of a webbing belt more than at a time when a body is to be restrained, the base moves against the urging force of the plate spring, and the plate spring pushes a transfer rod. Due to this pushing force being detected by a semiconductor diffusion strain gauge, it can be detected that the child seat is attached on a seat.

Buckle apparatus for seat belt system

A buckle device in which it can be detected whether or not a tongue plate inserted into a case is locked, and in which reliability of such detection is high. In the buckle device, a magnetic plate is provided at a leg portion which moves together with the tongue plate which is inserted into an interior of the case. Changes in orientation of a magnetic field of a magnet of a sensing section, which orientation varies due to the magnetic plate approaching and moving away from the magnet, are detected at an MRE sensor.

A detector for detecting a rotational angle of a gearshift lever. The detector includes a magnet that forms a magnetic flux in a predetermined direction along its surface. A magnetic resistance sensor generates a detection signal corresponding to the direction of the magnetic flux. The detected object is connected to the magnet or the magnetic resistance sensor. The magnet and the magnetic resistance sensor are rotated relatively to each other to generate the detection signal and obtain the rotational angle of the detected object. The magnetic resistance sensor is separated from an axis of rotation of the sensor or the magnet.

Magnetic rotational angle detecting apparatus

A rotation detector that detects rotational position with high precision. The rotation detector includes a rotor having a shaft. Projections are located at predetermined intervals on the periphery of the rotor and extend in an axial direction. The rotation detector further includes magnets and magnetism detecting elements respectively detecting magnetism of the magnets. At least one of the magnets and the detecting elements are arranged between the projections and the shaft at predetermined intervals.

Rotation detector operable to measure magnetism direction change

An acceleration sensor with a diaphragm sensor chip has lead frames. One of the lead frames has a die pad. The sensor chip is flexibly adhered to the die pad by adhesive. The sensor chip has a diaphragm. The sensor chip outputs signals in accordance with flexure of the diaphragm. The lead frames are molded by a mold member. The mold member define a space about the sensor chip. The coefficient of linear expansion of the mold member is between 1.4&times;10,/&deg; C. and 1.8&times;10,/&deg; C., and the modulus of elasticity of the mold member is between 100&times;10,kg/cm,and 130&times;10,kg/cm,. Use of the mold member minimizes the ratio of change of sensitivity due to temperature changes, which improves the temperature characteristics of the sensor.

Sensor with diaphragm sensor chip

An improved solder-bonding structure is disclosed that is particularly suitable for soldering the components of hybrid ICs. The solder-bonding structure includes a conductor formed on a substrate. The conductor is formed from silver and platinum. A solder layer formed from a tin and silver solder is then formed on the conductor to couple an electronic element to the conductor. In preferred aspects of the invention, the platinum content in the conductor is in the range of approximately 0.7 to 1.0% by weight. The silver content in the solder layer is in the range of approximately 0.1 to 5.0% by weight.

A wiper control device comprising a wiper driving motor, a wiper switch having a continuous mode, a stop mode position, and an intermittent mode position, a predetermined position stop switch for detecting whether a wiper is placed in a predetermined standby position or not, the stop switch is placed in a detection state when the wiper is moved to the predetermined standby position, a driving circuit for holding an operation thereof for each period until the predetermined position stop switch is placed in the detection state, a main semiconductor switching element for switching the wiper driving motor, the switching element being inserted in a powering path provided for the driving circuit when the wiper switch is set in the intermittent mode position, an interval control circuit for periodically starting an operation of the driving circuit, an auxiliary semiconductor switching element for turning on to short-circuit both terminals of the wiper driving motor when the operation of the driving circuit is suspended, a current detecting circuit for detecting a load current flowing in the main semiconductor switching element, a response circuit for outputting a trip signal when a load current detected by the current detecting circuit exceeds a predetermined value, and a hold circuit for stopping the operation of the driving circuit when the response circuit outputs the trip signal.
