A seat unit and a lower structure thereof that are not restricted in their positional relationship with seat tracks provided in advance in the airframe. One representative seat unit of the present invention and the lower structure thereof includes a hollow structure integrally formed using a composite member. The hollow structure is hollow in a front direction of the seat unit. The hollow structure has a quadrilateral shape in the front direction of the seat unit. In addition, a partition plate is disposed in the hollow structure. Furthermore, the lower structure includes attachment points to an aircraft at three locations on its bottom. In addition, a block is embedded in the composite member at the attachment point, and a thickness of the composite member around a bracket coupled to the block is less than thickness at other locations.

An aircraft passenger seat () is provided with a seat bottom frame () which constitutes a seat surface, and a seat back frame () which constitutes a back rest, wherein cam followers () provided on both sides of the seat back frame () slide within cam grooves () on spreaders () supporting both sides of a seat mechanism. When an actuator () expands and pivots a link arm () in the direction of an arrow Rto cause the seat back frame () to start reclining, a link plate () extends in the direction of an arrow F, and pivots a head rest frame () in the &#x3b8; direction. This operation prevents the line of sight of the passenger from being deviated from a video device provided on a back of a front seat.

Reclining mechanism for aircraft passenger seat

A divider unit () for a passenger seat has a slide rail () that is fixed onto a side shell () surrounding the seat. A plate-like divider () is equipped with two linear guides () inserted in the slide rail () and slides within the slide rail (). A stopper () attached to a front end of the slide rail () has a tapered surface (), and the divider () is stopped when a front end of the divider () rides over the tapered surface (), thereby preventing generation of collision noise.

An air chiller unit is equipped with a refrigeration cycle unit disposed on a casing. The refrigeration cycle unit is equipped with a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator and so on for a refrigerant, and the cooled air is sent via a blower deviceto a galley etc. A housingof the blower devicehas an inlet and two outletsfor cooled air. A duct member is inserted to one of the two outletsand, and the other outlet is sealed. The casingis formed of a honeycomb panel. Since the honeycomb panel has high flexural rigidity, the base plate can support the refrigeration cycle unit by itself. Further, since the panel has superior heat insulating property, the air cooling efficiency can be improved.

The invention provides an improved air chiller unit mounted on an aircraft for sending cooled air to service carts used for serving meals. An air chiller unitincludes a refrigeration cycle unit housed in a casing. The refrigeration cycle unit comprises a compressor, a condenserand an evaporatorfor a refrigerant, and the cooled air is sent to a galley via a blower device. The casingis formed of honeycomb panels. The compressoris supported via a pair of vibration isolation mounting deviceson a base plate of the casing. The vibration isolation mounting deviceis formed of a triangular prism-shaped bracket and an A-shaped vibration isolation rubber, which functions to isolate vibration at normal times, and when a large load is received, functions to support the compressor devicewith high spring constant with the rubber vibration isolator compressed.

The invention provides an improved drain valve for dew condensation in an air chiller unit mounted on an aircraft. The drain valveattached to a drain of a drain pan in an air chiller unit is equipped with a valve seat memberhaving an openingat the center and a valve memberdisposed to contact the lower surface of the valve seat member. The valve memberis made of thin silicon rubber, and armscreated by slits formed thereto support a valve meanswith extremely small spring constant. While the air chiller unit is operating, the valve meansis air tightly attached to the openingof the valve seat by negative pressure, closing the drain valve. When the operation stops and dew drops gather on the valve means, the valve meansis displaced by the weight and the valve is opened. When there are no dew drops, the valve is closed to prevent moisture from entering.
