A spectrophotometer utilizes a band-pass filter array for splitting incident light into a plurality of light components of different wavelengths, a plurality of silicon photodiodes for receiving the respective light components, and a memory for storing spectral sensitivity information. The spectral sensitivity information is obtained by integrating the spectral sensitivities of spectrodetectors relative to each sectionalized wavelength regions sectionally generated from a measurement wavelength region. Each of the spectrodetectors include a band-pass filter array and a silicon photodiode in combination. A central processing unit calculates simultaneous equations representing the relation between the output from each of the silicon photodiodes, the spectral sensitivity information stored in memory and the light intensity of the sectionalized wavelength region, to obtain the light intensity.

A light sensor comprises optical filters, an interference filter and a photoelectric converting element which receives and photoelectrically converts light which has passed through the optical filters and the interference filter. An incident angle of the incident light on the interference filter can be changed so as to realize a desirable spectral sensitivity in a combination of the optical filters, the interference filter and the photoelectric converting element. The incident angle can be changed by a mounting structure that can rotate about an optical axis.

A spectrophotometer utilizes a band-phase filter array for splitting incident light into a plurality of light components of different wavelengths, a plurality of silicon photodiodes for receiving the respective light components, and a memory for storing spectral sensitivity information. A color measuring apparatus for measuring the color of a sample has a light source measuring section for detecting color temperature of light coming from a light source without passing through or being reflected by the sample. Relationship between a plurality of color temperatures and a plurality of emission time periods of the light source is stored in a memory. A microcomputer compares each of detected color temperatures with a predetermined value and determines a certain time period on the basis of both the relationship stored in the memory and a comparison result. A lighting circuit energizes the light source during the time period determined by the computer so that the light source keeps lighting the sample. A sample measuring section detects light coming from the sample and the microcomputer measures a color of the sample.

A colorimeter comprises a light source, a mixing box formed of non-coated light diffusing surface manufactured by molding sintering white ceramics or white resin for diffusing and reflecting light from the light source to guide the same to a sample, first light receiving means for receiving light reflected from the sample when light is emitted from the light source, and second light receiving means for receiving light other than the light reflected from the sample emitted from the light source.

The microcomputer has various functions which are: for providing a plurality of exposure data corresponding to a plurality of primary colors; for designating at least one of the primary colors; for altering the exposure data corresponding to the designated primary color; for displaying an information relating to the exposure data to be altered; for indicating the direction of change in tone of the color copy caused by altering the exposure data; for selecting the type of the original film; and for controlling the relation between the direction of change in tone of the color copy as indicated and the direction of change in the exposure data as displayed in response to the selected type of original film.

A color enlarger for use in photography capable of printing a color copy from a color original film includes a plurality of source lights for separately generating lights corresponding to a plurality of primary colors; a monitor for separately picking-up the plurality of source lights to monitor the light generated from the light source, and light measuring circuit for separately measuring the plurality of source lights transmitted through the color original film. The color enlarger further includes a microcomputer which has various functions which are: for providing a color data representative of a color to be reproduced on the color copy; for separately calculating the whole light quantities for the plurality of source lights to be generated upon printing the color copy, in response to the monitor, the light measuring circuit, and the provided color data; and for controlling light sources upon printing the color copy in response to the calculating value.

Disclosed herein is a light measuring and control data calculating device for use in a photographic enlarger. The device comprises first light detecting means for detecting the amount of light emitted from a light source, second light detecting means for detecting the emitted light amount at a position on the surface of an easel through the optical system and an original film in the enlarger, setting means for manually setting a preliminary desired amount of light to be emitted from the light source and calculation means for calculating an actually desired amount of flash light to be emitted from the light source for obtaining a desired total amount of the exposure light on the surface of the easel for making a suitable exposure on the printing paper to provide a best print.
