A recording device includes, when a transporting direction of a medium is set to a first axis and a direction intersecting with the transporting direction is set to a second axis, a head which includes a nozzle column along the first axis; a pair of heads in which the heads discharging droplets of the same color are paired; and a head unit which includes a plurality of pairs of heads along the second axis. The pair of heads include a predetermined overlapping portion in which the nozzle columns are overlapped with each other in a side view from the second axis, the overlapping portion includes a plurality of nozzle regions divided along the second axis, and a position of the nozzle region which is used in discharge of the droplets is different from a position of the nozzle region of another pair of heads.

A printing apparatus that prints an image while forming a layered body, which has a layered structure in which a plurality of ink layers formed by applying a photocurable ink is layered and at least a portion of the plurality of ink layers is an image layer, on a printing medium, is provided with a first ink layer forming section that coats a printing medium with a first photocurable ink that configures a lowermost layer of the plurality of ink layers to form the lowermost layer, and causes the lowermost layer to be cured while irradiating the lowermost layer with light after at least three seconds elapse; and a second ink layer forming section that applies an ink layer other than the lowermost layer after the first photocurable ink is cured.

Printing apparatus, printed matter and method of manufacturing printed matter

A printing apparatus includes a carriage unit, and carries out printing on a recording medium while transporting the recording medium. The carriage unit includes a first head that discharges an ink and a second head that discharges an ink of the same color, and the second head is disposed so as to be adjacent to the first head in an x axis direction, and to overlap with the first head in a y axis direction. In an outgoing path in the reciprocation of the carriage unit, a printing density of a first image, which the first head prints, gradually decreases toward an upstream side in a transport direction of the recording medium, and the first image includes a dot group, in which at least two dots formed using the ink from the first nozzles are linked to one another in the x axis direction. In addition, in a return path in the reciprocation of the carriage unit, the second nozzles print a second image, which supplements a decrease in the printing density of the first image.

Printing apparatus and printing method

A processing apparatus is configured to process printed material where a printed layer is formed on a printing medium (a substrate) using an ultraviolet curable material, and is provided with a blade which is configured to process the printed material, a heater unit which is configured to heat the blade, and a first control section (a processing control section) which is configured to control the heater unit. The first control section is configured to previously heat the blade to a predetermined temperature according to a glass transition point of the ultraviolet curable material using the heater unit before the processing is performed.

A printing apparatus includes a head that discharges ink to a printing region, and causes ink dots formed on the printing region to be cured to form a line image in a first direction, and a movement section that that causes the printing medium to move relative to the head in a second direction intersecting the first direction, in which the printing region is divided into a plurality of areas in the second direction, and the movement section alternately switches the area in which the line image is formed by the head between the plurality of areas while causing the printing medium to relatively move.

An image forming apparatus forming an image on a recording medium includes a head unit which includes an ejecting unit which ejects photo-curable color ink which is cured by being irradiated with light, an ejecting unit which ejects photo-curable transparent ink which is cured by being irradiated with light, and a light irradiation unit which radiates the light; a moving unit which moves the recording medium and the head unit relatively in reciprocating movements; and a controller which causes the transparent ink to be ejected toward the recording medium while causing the head unit to move in one direction in the reciprocating movements, and causes the transparent ink which is applied in the one direction to be irradiated with the light while causing the head unit to be moved in the other direction in the reciprocating movements.

A light-emitting device includes an anode; a cathode; a first light-emitting unit provided between the anode and the cathode and having at least one light-emitting layer; a second light-emitting unit provided between the cathode and the first light-emitting unit and having at least one light-emitting layer; and a carrier generation layer provided between the first light-emitting unit and the second light-emitting unit, the carrier generation layer generating holes and electrons in response to application of a voltage between the anode and the cathode. The carrier generation layer includes an n-type electron transport layer and an electron-withdrawing layer, the n-type electron transport layer being positioned between_the first light-emitting unit and the electron-withdrawing layer and containing alkali metal oxide and an electron-transporting material having electron transport properties, the electron-withdrawing layer contacting the n-type electron transport layer and containing organic cyanide having an aromatic ring.
