A driving support device wherein an own vehicle and a peripheral vehicle are symbolized, and relative dispositions are displayed in real time in a display unit visible to the driver, is obtained to facilitate a lane change by a driver. The driving support device includes a vehicle detecting unit, which detects peripheral vehicles positioned in a periphery of a vehicle, and an image generating unit, which generates an image representing positions of the vehicle and the peripheral vehicles from vehicle information obtained by the vehicle detecting unit. The image generating unit generates a driving support image including vehicle information representing relative dispositions of the vehicle and the peripheral vehicles using symbols indicating the vehicle and the peripheral vehicles. The image generating unit includes an image stacking unit, which generates original data of the driving support image, and an image control unit, which cuts a necessary portion from the original data.

Driving support device

In a drive assistance device, a required space estimation unit estimates a required space which is a space required for a subject vehicle to complete a starting. A required time estimation unit calculates an estimated required time which is an estimate value of a time required to complete the starting at a time of starting the subject vehicle. A collision time estimation unit calculates an estimated collision time which is an estimate value of a time until when an obstacle reaches the required space. A start margin calculation unit calculates a start margin indicating a temporal margin for the subject vehicle to complete the starting until the obstacle reaches the required space based on the estimated required time and the estimated collision time. The notification processing unit notifies a driver of the subject vehicle of the start margin.

Drive assistance device and drive assistance method

A parking assistance apparatus includes: a parking space searching unit for searching for a parking-allowable parking space in which a user's vehicle can be parked; a target parking space selection unit for selecting a target parking space in which the user's vehicle is to be parked, based on an user setting information, when a plurality of parking-allowable parking spaces are detected; a parking operation assisting unit for assisting in a parking operation for parking the user's vehicle in the target parking space; and a parking operation assistance start determination unit for determining whether or not a determination condition for starting a parking operation is satisfied according to a state of the user's vehicle, and causing the parking operation assisting unit to start assisting in the parking operation when the determination condition is satisfied.

Parking assistance apparatus and parking assistance method

A vehicle control device includes a parking space candidate detection unit configured to detect a parking space candidate that is a candidate for a parking space where an own vehicle is parked, using a vehicle peripheral image acquired from a camera; a leaving path detection unit configured to detect, using the vehicle peripheral image, a leaving path on which another vehicle that is parked in an other vehicle parking space located in a periphery of the parking space candidate leaves the other vehicle parking space; and a nuisance parking determination unit configured to perform nuisance parking determination including determining, for each detected parking space candidate, whether the parking space candidate overlaps with the detected leaving path, and thereby classifying the parking space candidate into a nuisance parking space that overlaps with the leaving path or a non-nuisance parking space that avoids overlapping with the leaving path.

Vehicle control device and vehicle control method

The automatic parking apparatus includes: an image generation unit configured to generate an image of surroundings of an own vehicle photographed by a monitor device; a display unit; an input device configured to receive, a first touch input by the user for designating a parking place; a parking area calculation unit configured to determine whether a parking space for the own vehicle is available; a moving path calculation unit configured to determine at least one moving path candidate for guiding the own vehicle from a current location to a parking area, and to display the moving path candidate on the display unit; and a vehicle control processing unit configured to guide and control the own vehicle from the current location to the parking area in accordance with one moving path confirmed by the user operation from among the at least one moving path candidate.
