The contactless connector is coupled to the transmission path without electrical contact with the transmission path, and receives the code-modulated wave from the power transmitter apparatus via the transmission path. A current meter measures a current value associated with input power inputted to a code modulator. A code modulation circuit modulates the input power to generate a code-modulated wave by code modulation using a modulation code based on a code sequence, and transmits the code-modulated wave to the code demodulator via a transmission path. A control circuit controls the code modulation circuit. The code modulation circuit has operation modes different from each other depending on a direction of the input power, and a direction of the code-modulated wave to be generated. The control circuit generates waveform information indicating variations of direction of the input power over time, based on the current value measured by the current meter, and determines the operation mode of the code modulation circuit based on the waveform information.

Power transmission system capable of synchronizing power transmitter apparatus having multiple operation modes, with power receiver apparatus having multiple operation

A control circuit of a code modulator sets first to third states to a code modulation circuit. In first state, first and fourth switch circuits are on, and second and third switch circuits are off. In second state, first and fourth switch circuits are off, and second and third switch circuits are on. In third state, all first to fourth switch circuits are on during transition from the first to second state, and vice versa. A control circuit of a code demodulator sets fourth to sixth states to a code demodulation circuit. In fourth state, fifth and eighth switch circuits are off, and sixth and seventh switch circuits are on. In fifth state, fifth and eighth switch circuits are on, and sixth and seventh switch circuits are off. In sixth state, all fifth to eighth switch circuits are on during transition from fourth to fifth state, and vice versa.

Each one of code modulators modulates first power to generate a code-modulated wave using a modulation code based on a code sequence, and transmits the code-modulated wave to one of code demodulators. Each one of code demodulator receives the code-modulated wave from one of the code modulators, and demodulates the received code-modulated wave to generate second power using a demodulation code based on a code sequence identical to the code sequence of the modulation code used. When power is transmitted between each one of transmitter and receiver pairs, a controller selects and assigns code sequences to the transmitter and receiver pairs, so as to reduce an average of an absolute value of a total current of the code-modulated waves of the transmitter and receiver pairs in a transmission path, as compared to a reference value, the average being averaged over a predetermined time.

A switching circuit apparatus includes: a first capacitance provided between a first port terminal and a the first terminal of a switching circuit unit, a second capacitance provided between the first terminal and a conductor part, and a first inductance provided between a second port terminal and a second terminal of the switching circuit unit. The switching circuit apparatus is provided with: a first capacitor connected between the first port terminal and the second port terminal, and a second inductor connected between the second terminal and the conductor part. A power transmission system includes: a power transmitter connected to a power supply; a plurality of power receivers respectively connected to a plurality of loads; a power transmission line connecting the power transmitter and the plurality of power receivers; and a controller. The controller acquires information on optimum power for maximizing transmission efficiency in the power transmission line and information on power demands requested by the loads, and routes transmission power from the power transmitter selectively to the plurality of power receivers. The transmission power is equal to or smaller than the optimum power. When a total power demand is larger than the optimum power, the controller requests another controller to supply supplementary power. When the total power demand is smaller than the optimum power, the controller notifies the other controller that surplus power is available.
