Provided is a donepezil-containing transdermal absorption formulation that can sustainably administer donepezil for a long period of time, and can provide both a rapid increase in the blood level of donepezil and donepezil sustained release properties. The donepezil-containing transdermal absorption formulation is a transdermal absorption formulation produced by dissolving donepezil, which is the active ingredient, in an adhesive patch base that contains a hydrophobic polymer and an absorption promoter. The absorption promoter is one kind or two or more kinds selected from lauryl alcohol, triethyl citrate, isopropyl myristate, cetyl lactate, oleyl alcohol, sorbitan monooleate, polyethylene glycol monostearate, lauromacrogol, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, and triacetin.

Transdermally absorbable donepezil-containing preparation

The present invention provides to patches having excellent skin-permeability and therapeutic effect by the drug with lower irritation. In an external patch in which an adhesive layer containing an adhesive base and a drug are laminated with a backing, the external patch wherein the adhesive base contains 5-50% by weight of synthetic rubber polymer, 10-60% by weight of adhesive resin and 25-60% by weight of liquid paraffin, and the drug is etofenamate. According to the present invention, there is obtainable the patches having excellent skin-permeability and therapeutic effect by the drug with lower irritation.

In a plaster for external use for transdermal absorption in which an adhesive layer is laminated on a plastic backing, the adhesive layer contains a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer (SIS), a tackifying resin and a softener which are essential ingredients, and further contains flurbiprofen blended as an active ingredient. The present plaster for external use is a flurbiprofen containing plaster for external use enabling long-term stable release of contained flurbiprofen, and having excellent stability and very high drug releasing property.

An external patch capable of stable prolonged release and transdermal absorption of active ingredient hormones (estrogens and/or progestogens) contained in a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, which external patch ensures low irritation on the skin. In particular, an external patch comprising a support and, superimposed thereon, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, characterized in that the pressure sensitive adhesive layer comprises, as indispensable components, 5 to 50 wt. % of styrene/isoprene/styrene block copolymer, 20 to 70 wt. % of tackifier resin, 10 to 60 wt. % of softener and 1 to 20 wt. % of polyvinylpyrrolidone and contains, as an active ingredient, estrogen and/or progestogen.

Provided herein is a female hormone-containing patch wherein an active ingredient is highly soluble in a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and the active ingredient is not adsorbed to a backing, and the patch per se can follow the irregularities on the skin surface or body movements. The patch is an external patch containing, as a female hormone, a follicular hormone estradiol and/or its derivative or a progestational hormone norethisterone and/or its derivative. The external patch comprises an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive containing 0.01 to 1% by weight of an isocyanate-based crosslinking agent as an essential ingredient.

A patch containing tulobuterol in the low concentration and having the stable release-controllability, prepared by laminating an adhesive layer consisting of a rubber, an adhesive resin and a plasticizer on a backing, wherein 1 to 4 w/w % of tulobuterol in the lower concentration as an active ingredient and 0.1 to 3 w/w % of a higher fatty acid as a drug-releasing controlling agent are contained in the adhesive layer.

It is provided the plaster of anti-inflammatory and analgesic, improving the sustained releasing of 4-biphenylacetic acid from the base adhesive material and low skin irritation, by using more than two kinds of resolvent for 4-biphenylacetic acid having low solubility in solvents. More specifically, it is provided plasters essentially containing 5&#x2013;50% by weight of styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, 0.05&#x2013;20% by weight of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, 0.1&#x2013;20% by weight of polyethylene glycol and 0.1&#x2013;20% by weight of 4-biphenylacetic acid.

The oil patches containing diclofenac sodium which are characterized in that diclofenac sodium, isostearic acid and a fatty acid having 10 to 18 carbon atoms which is liquid at ordinary temperature are combined in an adhesive.

The present invention provides plasters containing an adhesive base material which comprise , by wt % of the adhesive base material, 15-25 wt % of isosorbide dinitrate, 15-35 wt % of styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, 35-55 wt % of rosin resin, 5-20 wt % of liquid rubber, 0.1-2 wt % of antioxidant, and 0.1-5 wt % of oleic acid for transdermal application. The plasters of the present invention have excellent adhesion and stable releasing of the active ingredient from the adhesive layer after applied to the skin.

Patch preparations for percutaneous adsorption with the use of supports showing appropriate strength as a patch support, which are excellent in drug barrier characteristics, compatibility with the skin, ODT effects and handling characteristics and can sustain these specific properties in a stable state over a prolonged period of time, thus ensuring good percutaneous absorption of drugs. In these patch preparation, use is made as the support of polyester film/nonwoven vinylon fabric laminates showing an elongation percentage of at least 5% and a tensile cutting load of at least 0.5 kg/10 mm, when measured by the test method specified in JIS K6732. In particular, the thickness of the polyester film constituting the laminate supports ranges from 1.5 to 6.0 &mgr;m and the unit weight of the nonwoven vinylon fabric ranges from 3 to 12 g/m,.
