To provide an air conditioner having an antibacterial and mold-proofing member which can be easily incorporated and has high effectiveness and a method for controlling the air conditioner. An air conditioner of the present invention having a heat exchanger and a blower for supplying the heat exchanger with air comprises an antibacterial and mold-proofing member which includes an antibacterial and mold-proofing component which will volatile at an ambient temperature and diffuse in the air conditioner, and also has a control mechanism for gradually evaporating which controls the release rate of the antibacterial and mold-proofing component to the inside of the air conditioner so that it becomes large at high humidity and small at low humidity.

There is disclosed a disk loading device capable of transferring a disk without damaging a face of the disk. The disk loading device includes a roller movement mechanism for moving a roller toward and away from a path of transfer of the disk, and a roller drive mechanism for rotating the roller. In a temperature control system when can be operated as a heat pump, frost deposited onto an outdoor heat exchanger (evaporator) is detected by a change in temperature of the refrigerant which flows into an indoor heat exchanger (condenser), so that a sensor to detect the deposition of the frost need not be attached to the outdoor heat exchanger. The refrigerant temperature is measured at the inlet of the indoor heat exchanger, and the temperature control system is switched to defrosting operation on the basis of this temperature and various elapsed time periods if the actual heat capability of the incoming refrigerant is insufficient, detecting the temperature of the refrigerant on the inlet side of the indoor heat exchanger, namely, by detecting the temeprature at a single position. Therefore, there is no need to use the frost deposition sensor on the outdoor side, frost deposition discriminating circuit by the signal of this sensor, signal lines to connect the frost deposition discriminating circuit with the main control circuit and the like which are provided in the room, and the like, so that the circuit can be simplified.

This invention discloses an engine rotation sensor which can generate angle- and timing-pulses from one sensor. The ratio of the intervals between these pulses generated by the rotation sensor is determined. The crank angle pulses and the timing pulses are discriminated depending on whether this ratio is less than or equal to a predetermined value, or not. The injection of fuel of each injector is controlled by a pulse which is discriminated as a timing pulse.

A noise pulse suppression system for a receiver comprising holding means for holding an input signal level which precedes immediately the appearance of a noise pulse for a predetermined time duration upon appearance of the noise pulse in an input signal, subtracting means for determining the difference between the input and output of a delay circuit for delaying the input signal or a difference between the delayed output and an output obtained by holding the delayed output for a predetermined time duration, and adding means for adding a correcting signal obtained from the subtracting means to the output of the holding means. The circuit suppresses noise pulses in the input signal and does not generate additional noise.

The fundamental frequency of the PLL synthesizer provided by the oscillation of the crystal oscillator is selected to be n times (where n is an even number) the second intermediate frequency of the transceiver so that all the frequencies required for the operation of the AM.multidot.SSB transceiver can be derived from the oscillation frequency of the single crystal oscillator, whereby to simplify the structure of the AM.multidot.SSB transceiver and to facilitate the adjustment of the transceiver.

A PLL synthesizer for a multi-channel civil band transceiver uses a D-flip-flop between a voltage controlled oscillator and a programmable divider which are parts of the loop. A reference signal is divided in a first divider to form a signal representing the frequency difference between adjacent transceiver channels which is applied to a phase comparator in the loop and the reference signal is frequency divided in a second divider to obtain a signal applied to the clock input of the D-flip-flop.

A Doppler radar for use in a vehicle for predicting a collision with another vehicle, capable of detecting noise due to a false wave i.e., the transmitted wave from another vehicle having a frequency in the vicinity of the true transmitted wave frequency and having entered through a receiver antenna into a mixer, and controlling the frequency of the true transmitted wave to depress said noise to zero, thereby avoiding the interference of the false wave with the Doppler signal output.
