A cornea incision apparatus for incising a cornea in a layered form, comprises; a blade unit having a blade for corneal incision; and a cutter head unit arranged to detachably hold the blade unit in such a manner as to allow oscillation thereof, the cutter head unit including; a cavity formed with a first opening which opens to the outside to allow direct mounting/demounting of the blade unit, and arranged to hold the blade unit in such a manner as to allow oscillation thereof; and a first stopper provided in the first opening, the first stopper being movable between a first position for restricting movement of the blade unit in the first opening and a second position for allowing the movement of the blade unit in the first opening.

In a corneal surgical apparatus for incising a cornea of a patient's eye in a layered form, a blade is movably supported to a main body for lateral oscillation and rectilinear movement. Discrete motors are located within the main body for the lateral oscillation and the rectilinear movement of the blade, respectively. One of the motor is coupled to the blade through a feed screw, an attaching member threadingly engaged with the feed screw, and a hollow connecting member connected to the attaching member, whereas the other of the motor is coupled to the blade through gears, a spline shaft rotatably supported by the inside of the hollow connecting member and non-rotatably but slidably connected to one of the gears, and a converting mechanism for converting the rotation of the shaft to the lateral oscillation of the blade.

A corneal surgical apparatus for incising a cornea of a patient's eye in a layered form includes: a blade; a rotating shaft; a bearing rotatably supporting the rotating shaft; a transmitting mechanism which converts rotation of the rotating shaft about a rotation center axis into oscillation in a direction perpendicular to the rotation center axis and transmits the oscillation to the blade; and a preventing mechanism which prevents moisture component from penetrating or infiltrating into a clearance between the rotating shaft and the bearing by controlling the rotation of the rotating shaft.

A corneal surgical apparatus for incising a cornea of a patient's eye in a layered form includes: a suction ring unit, having a circular opening, that is to be vacuum-fixed onto a peripheral part of the cornea; a rotatable shaft; an eccentric pin projecting from a distal end of the shaft, the eccentric pin being located at a position offset from a rotational central axis of the shaft; and a cutting unit movable in an incising direction above the suction ring unit. The cutting unit including: cornea applanating means that applanates the cornea within the opening into a substantially flat form; a blade that incises the cornea; a first oscillation transmitting member having a part with which the eccentric pin is engaged; a second oscillation transmitting member having a part with which a part of the first oscillation transmitting member is engaged; and a holder that holds the first and second oscillation transmitting members to be movable in a lateral direction which is perpendicular to the rotational central axis of the shaft. Movement of the second oscillation transmitting member in the lateral direction causes the blade to be moved in the same direction.

In a corneal surgical apparatus for incising a cornea of a patient's eye in a layered form, a suction ring is fixedly provided on a main body. The suction ring has an opening from which the cornea of the patient's eye is projected. An applanating portion is provided, which has a flat side abutting against the cornea of the patient eye projected from the opening of the suction ring. A blade is supported movably along said suction ring in a space defined between the suction ring and the flat side of the applanating portion. A projection is associated with the blade to increase the space as the blade incises the cornea.

A cornea surgical operation apparatus for incising a cornea of a patient's eye into a layer comprises a fixing device having an opening put into contact with the surface of the cornea and for being fixed to a peripheral part of the cornea with the opening as a center, a press device for nearly flat pressing the cornea protruded from the opening, a blade for cutting out the cornea pressed into a nearly flat shape by the press device, a movement device for moving the blade in such a way that it passes a center of the opening, and a rotation device for rotating the blade moved at least to a Bowman membrane by the movement device with the center of the opening as the center of rotation.

A noncontact type tonometer comprising with a nozzle for directing fluid into a cornea of a patient's eye and for deforming the cornea from a normally convex state, through a flat state, to a concave state, a detector for detecting fluid pressure within the nozzle and for generating pressure data corresponding to the fluid pressure, an optical detector for optically detecting corneal deformation and for generating optical data corresponding to a deformation state from the normally convex state to the concave state, a generator for generating predetermined time interval data according to a predetermined time interval, a clock, cooperable with the optical detector for optically detecting corneal deformation, for detecting an elapsed time interval for the cornea to deform to the flat state from the normally convex state and for generating elapsed time interval data corresponding thereto, a predictor for predicting an optimal time interval for the cornea to deform from the normally convex state to the flat state based upon the optical data and the predetermined time interval data and for generating optimal time interval data corresponding thereto, a comparator for comparing the elapsed time interval data with a predetermined range of the optimal time interval data, a pressure calculator for calculating the fluid pressure according to the pressure detected by the detector for detecting fluid pressure at the elapsed time interval where the cornea deforms to a flat state if the elapsed time interval lies within the predetermined range of the optimal time interval, and a controller for driving the nozzle.

The present invention provides a joy stick mechanism having a simplified structure in which a size reduction of the apparatus can be attained, there is little possibility of breaking of electric wires, and switching can be surely realized. To this end, the joy stick mechanism is arranged in such a manner that it includes an optical system such as a slit lamp laser delivery system or a fundus camera and the optical system can be moved fore and aft, and right and left by operating a joy stick, the mechanism being provided with switch button device located at a top portion of the joy stick bar, a movable shaft which can move in an axial direction of the joy stick bar by the movement of the switch button device, a detection device for detecting the movement of the shaft, and a control device for generating a trigger signal of photographing, coagulating and so forth on the basis of the detected result.
