A valve seat member has a valve seat with a fuel injection aperture. A valve body is movable between a close position wherein the valve body is put on the valve seat and an open position wherein the valve body is separated from the valve seat. A biasing member biases the valve body in a direction of the close position. An electromagnetic coil, upon energization, moves the valve body in a direction of the open position against the biasing force of the biasing member. A nozzle plate is connected to the valve seat member in a manner to cover the fuel injection aperture. The nozzle plate has at a part thereof facing the fuel injection aperture a domed portion that is projected away from the fuel injection aperture. The domed portion has a plurality of fuel injection openings. A side wall extends around and along a periphery of the nozzle plate so as to form a fuel holding recess that is defined by the nozzle plate other than domed portion and the side wall. The fuel holding recess is able to hold a certain amount of a fuel by the force of a surface tension possessed by the fuel.

Fuel injection valve

For each of the injection holes on the face of a plate member which is disposed in a fuel passage, grooves are provided which run along the circumferential direction of the respective injection holes, and at the positions of the grooves, fuel overflows are formed. As a result, contracted fuel flow portions are formed in the injection holes, so that the maximum flow velocity of fuel is increased at the injection hole outlet portions. Thus, a fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine is provided, in which the atomization performance near the injection holes is effectively enhanced.

Fuel injection valve and internal combustion engine mounting the same

An electronic fuel injector capable of supplying fuel in a stable manner is provided by employing a swirler, which is manufactured at a lower cost and has durability, and by ensuring superior wear resistance of the swirler and a valve member provided on a movable part, which is put into frictional contact with the swirler. The electronic fuel injector comprises a movable part, a valve member, a valve seat, a swirler, a stopper, a stator core, a casing, a spring, and an electromagnetic coil. A valve member is provided at a fore end of the movable part. The swirler serves not only to swirl fuel, but also to guide movement of the valve member provided at the fore end of the movable part. The swirler is formed of a powder sintered compact of martensitic stainless steel having corrosion resistance and wear resistance.

Electronic fuel injector

In an electronic fuel injector used in a combustion system using gas fuel, the present invention suppresses wearing of worn portions to make control of stable supply of gas fuel possible by forming a surface reforming layer (nitrided layer etc.) having wear resistance on a surface of a structural material of worn portions of the electronic fuel injector.

Electronic fuel injection valve

The present invention provides a fuel injection valve including a stationary core and a movable core having one end opposed to one end of the stationary core, the movable core being movable toward the one end of the stationary core upon magnetization of the stationary core and a valve on the other end of the movable core and movable with the movable core, the valve being supported by a valve seat base and a cylindrical body extends from at least the stationary core to the base.

Electromagnetic fuel injection valve

A fuel injection device directly injecting fuel into a cylinder is exposed to combustion flame and is heated to nearly 300.degree. C. Under such a temperature condition, deposits of carbonization-growing materials of the injected gasoline and a mixture of engine lubricant and the gasoline and soot produced from the deposits become attached onto the end portion of the fuel injection device. By preventing a change in the fuel injection characteristic with time by preventing of deposits and soot from attaching to the fuel injection device, an engine can be maintained in a normal combustion state for a long time. In order to attain this object, a cylindrical cover member with a bottom made of a high thermal conductive material is mechanically fixed to the end portion of the electromagnetic fuel injection valve through an insulator. The cover member is heated by combustion heat of the engine up to a temperature higher than a deposit producing temperature, and accordingly deposits which tend to attach onto the cover member are eliminated.

In-cylinder fuel injection device and internal combustion engine

An electromagnetic fuel injector comprising: a movable member with a valve body provided at one end and an armature made of a magnetic material provided at the other end; a cylindrical core made of a magnetic material, the core being disposed in such a manner that the distal end thereof opposes the armature; an electromagnetic coil disposed around the cylindrical core for producing an electromagnetic force between the cylindrical core and the armature when the coil is energized; and guide sections for guiding the movement of the movable member in the axial direction, the guide sections being disposed in the vicinities of the valve body and the armature of the movable member. The guide section provided in the vicinity of the armature comprises a sliding member made of a non-magnetic material and disposed between the armature and the core. The colliding surface of the core and the armature is coated with a nickel layer which serves as an impact absorbing layer and a chromium oxide layer which serves as a surface hardening layer. A seal ring is provided between the outer periphery of a plug portion of the core and the inner periphery of a casing. The yoke is coupled to the core at a location which is closer to a fuel outlet from the seal ring.

Electromagnetic fuel injector

A fuel inlet opens at one end between a valve seat and an inner surface of a valve housing on which a globe valve slides. The other end of the fuel inlet opens to an external surface of the valve housing. The fuel inlet runs almost in the direction of a central axis of the globe valve so as to prevent the formation of vortex flow around the globe valve. A spiral member is pressure fitted inside the valve housing immediately downstream of the valve seat with the spiral member being formed as a rod with a spiral fuel groove to swirl the fuel along the groove. An outlet orifice for fuel metering is formed immediately downstream of and as near as possible to the spiral member.

Magnetic fuel injection valve

A carburetor including a main fuel system and a low-speed fuel system having a throttle valve shaft located parallel to a row of cylinders located in side-by-side relationship substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of a vehicle. The carburetor is connected to a suction manifold in such a manner that a float chamber is interposed between the throttle valve shaft and the row of cylinders.

Carburetor with starting system

An electromagnetic fuel injection valve including a valve seat of the conical shape located at one end of a fuel injection passage, movable valve means including a ball cooperating with the valve seat of the conical shape, a rod rigidly connected to the ball and a plunger rigidly connected to the rod, and an electromagnet for moving the plunger. The movable valve means is guided during the movement thereof in an axial direction in two positions, one position being on the outer periphery of the ball and the other position being on the outer periphery of the rod.
