A battery case includes a mounting surface formed into a desired shape to place a sealing plate stably thereon. The battery case includes: an open box-shaped case body holding components of a battery; and a sealing plate that is integrated with the case body to close an opening of the case body. A stepped portion on which the sealing plate is placed is formed on an inner wall surface of the case body. The stepped portion includes: a mounting surface on which the sealing plate is placed; an opposed surface opposed to a periphery of the sealing plate placed on the mounting surface; and a depressed corner depressed outwardly from the opposed surface between the mounting surface and the opposed surface.

Battery case and manufacturing method thereof

A can lid tab includes a flat plate-shaped attachment portion including a rivet hole to be attached to a rivet portion provided in a panel portion of a can lid, the attachment portion being in contact with the panel portion; a tip portion continuous with the attachment portion; and a finger hook portion formed on a side opposite to the tip portion across the attachment portion, at least an upper surface on a rear end side of the finger hook portion being inclined downward from the tip portion side toward the rear end side with respect to the attachment portion.

Can lid tab and can lid

A manufacturing method of a plate member, in which a strip material can be positioned with respect to a die all through stamping operations using a pilot hole formed in an initial phase of the stamping operations. The plate member is manufactured by a press machine in which a progressive stamping die having a plurality of stations is placed. The manufacturing method comprises: forming an oval pilot holein an uncoiled strip; and stamping the uncoiled stripby a plurality of operations while bringing a pilot pininto contact with an inner edge of the pilot holeat the operation before the pilot holeis displaced, and at the operation after the pilot holeis displaced.

Manufacturing method of plate member

A can lid is provided for excellence in an explosion-proof function and a suitability for a hammering inspection. A buckling-inducing section that is easily deformed angularly is formed on a plurality of sites in a circumferential portion of a panel section. A score line intersects with a virtual line passing through a center of the panel section and a center of the buckling-inducing section. End portions of the score line are situated closer to the center of the panel section than a virtual boundary line extending perpendicular to the virtual line. A circular depression is formed at the center of the panel section. A slant wall section is formed between the buckling-inducing section and an inner side wall, and the slant wall section is joined to the inner side wall through a curved portion.

Can lid

A sealing plate including an explosion-proof valve whose opening pressure can be set easily, and whose groove will not be not ruptured by a repeated stress before reaching an opening pressure. The explosion-proof valve including a thin plate portion thinner than a plate; a valve portion formed by partially projecting the thin plate portion in a thickness direction to enhance a bending rigidity; and a groove drawn as a boundary between the valve portion and the thin plate portion to serves as a score line. A rupturable portion that is ruptured after the groove is ruptured is formed between a straight line and a folding line. The valve portion is bent along the folding line to open the explosion-proof valve when the rupturable portion is ruptured after the groove is ruptured.

Sealing plate

An easy open can lid having: a panel portion, which is formed of an approximate disc shape, and in which a flange portion for fixing a can trunk is formed integrally on an outer circumference; a score line, which is formed near the periphery of the panel portion along the outer circumference of the panel portion; an opening piece, which is defined by the score line; and an opening tab, which is fixed near the periphery of the opening piece. This easy open can lid of the invention is characterized in that the score line is formed of an arcuate along periphery of the panel portion and both ends thereof are separated, and comprises a connecting portion connecting the opening piece with the panel portion, which is formed between the both ends of the score line, and a strength incrementing portion, in which a rupture strength thereof increases gradually toward the end portion of the score line.
