In a soldering method for Ag-containing lead-free solders to be soldered to an Ag-containing member, void generation is prevented and solder wettability is improved. The soldering method for Ag-containing lead-free solders of the present invention is a soldering method for Ag-containing lead-free solders includes a first step of bringing a lead-free solder having a composition that contains Ag that a relation between a concentration C (mass %) of Ag contained in an Sn&#x2014;Ag-based lead-free solder before soldering of a mass M(g) and an elution amount B(g) of Ag contained in the Ag-containing member becomes 1.0 mass %&#x2264;(M&#xd7;C+B)&#xd7;100/(M+B)&#x2264;4.6 mass % and that the balance consists of Sn and unavoidable impurities into contact with the Ag-containing member, a second step of heating and melting the lead-free solder, and a third step of cooling the lead-free solder.

Lead-free soldering method and soldered article

An ink drop is injected via a nozzle by changing drive voltages applied to a piezoelectric element to reduce the volume of a pressure chamber filled with ink, so that the injected ink drop hits upon a print medium to carry out printing. Upon injecting the ink drop via the nozzle, an injection timing of the ink drop is changed corresponding to a drive frequency of the drive voltages using a predetermined rule. The predetermined rule may be a table defined in terms of drive frequencies of the drive voltages and optimum injection timings of the ink drop corresponding to the drive frequencies.

Inkjet printing method and device

A halftone printing is realized by jetting ink drops of mutually different sizes toward a print medium. Among them, the ink drop having the middle size is set to be a reference ink drop for determining injection timings of the ink drops. When the ink drop to be jetted is bigger than the reference ink drop, an injection timing thereof is delayed relative to that of the reference ink drop. On the other hand, when the ink drop to be jetted is smaller than the reference ink drop, an injection timing thereof is advanced relative to that of the reference ink drop. This allows all the ink drops to be hit upon the print medium precisely at given positions.

The instant invention has an exemplified object to provide an inkjet head and recording device having such an inkjet head with a simpler structure as achieves higher quality of printing inexpensively than the conventional. The pressure-chamber plate of this invention is slit or divided into a plurality of elements.

Ink jet head providing improved printing resolution and printing speed

A piezoelectric type ink-jet printing head including a pressure chamber plate having a plurality of pressure chambers and a plurality of ink supply ports for supplying ink into the respective pressure chambers, a nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzles and a piezoelectric element having a surface, at least parts thereof defining a plurality of displacement portion. The nozzle plate is attached to one of the surfaces of the pressure chamber plate, in such a manner that the respective nozzles are connected to the respective pressure chambers. The other surface of the pressure chamber plate is attached to the piezoelectric element, in such a manner that each of the displacement portions of the piezoelectric element defines at least one of walls of each of the pressure chambers.

An ink-jet head includes a holder having first reference surfaces arrayed at a predetermined pitch in a main scanning direction. A plurality of segment chips is held on the holder. Each of the plurality of segment chips has an ink chamber plate and nozzles, each of the ink chamber plates having a flat surface on which grooves forming ink chambers are arrayed in a row perpendicular to the main scanning direction. Each of the ink chamber plates has a second reference surface extending from and coplanar with the flat surface. The second reference surfaces of the ink chamber plates of the plurality of segment chips are in contact with the first reference surfaces of the holder so that the nozzles of the respective segment chips are positioned on the holder at the pitch in the main scanning direction, and the plurality of segment chips are fixed to the holder.
