An antenna device includes a core portion made of a magnetic material, and a coil including a conductive wire wound on the core portion. The coil includes a winding portion, and an inductance adjuster portion wound at a larger pitch than the winding portion. The coil has an inductance changing according to a position of the inductance adjuster portion. This antenna device has a resonance frequency which is adjustable in a wide range.

Antenna device

An antenna made by winding a coil on the periphery of a rod-like core made of a magnetic material is housed inside a pillar having a relatively small width and disposed in a manner such that its axis line is nearly orthogonal to the vertical axis line of the pillar. With this arrangement, a predetermined communication range is secured as the electromagnetic waves radiated from the antenna are barely absorbed by the vehicle body and radiated to inside the cabin as well as to the outside. Accordingly, an inexpensive antenna device and a communications system using it are provided which enable communication with a portable device inside and outside a vehicle cabin using a single antenna.

An antenna device has a core made of a magnetic material, a coil formed by winding a conducting wire on a predetermined range including the core and the outer region of the core, and a sub-core that adjusts the resonance frequency by moving in the inner peripheral region of the coil and in the direction orthogonal to the winding direction of the coil. A communication system of the present invention is a combination of an external communication device, the antenna device, and an internal communication device that is connected to the antenna device and is disposed in a cabin.

An inverted-F type antenna and a wireless device using the same. The antenna element comprises a grounding conductor plate and a conductor at least a part of which is generally spiral in shape and is disposed above the grounding conductor plate apart from the grounding conductor plate. A stub connects one end of the antenna element with the grounding conductor plate. A feeding point locates on the antenna element at a predetermined distance from one end of the antenna element and a feeder line electrically connects the feeding point with an external circuit. The antenna element is secured on the grounding conductor plate with a support member made of a dielectric material.

An antenna is capable of transmitting/receiving waves in multi-ranged frequency bands, and providing high antenna gain, reliability and productivity. A radio communication apparatus uses the antenna. A feed portion is electrically connected with an antenna element portion at one end, and with radio-frequency circuitry of the apparatus at another end. A dielectric material core rod mechanically supports the antenna element portion. A dielectric material radome partially covers the antenna element and feed portion. The antenna element portion is formed from an approximately helical-shaped portion and an approximately meander-shaped portion, both of which are made from a thin-belt-shaped conductive plate and concentrically arranged on the core rod. Properly adjusting of the approximately helical-shaped and the approximately meander-shaped portions can provide impedance characteristics optimal for multi-ranged frequency bands.

Electroluminescent light element having a transparent electrode formed

A dispersion electroluminescent device and a switch unit using the same are disclosed. The dispersion electroluminescent device includes three electrodes: first and second electrode layers and a common electrode layer. The common electrode layer is disposed between the first and second electrode layers. An electroluminescent layer and a first dielectric layer are disposed between the first electrode layer and the common electrode layer. A second dielectric layer is disposed between the common electrode layer and the second electrode layer. A voltage source applies first and second ac or dc pulse voltages, which are 180.degree. out of phase with each other, across the first electrode layer and the common electrode layer and across the common electrode layer and the second electrode layer, respectively, for canceling mechanical vibrations produced at the first and second dielectric layers by each other.
