This invention provides therapeutic agents, transplants and therapeutic methods that can enhance the regeneration of injured tissue. This invention relates to agents, transplants and therapeutic methods for enhancing the migration and accumulation of mesenchymal stem cells in injured tissues and/or suppressing the diffusion of mesenchymal stem cells from injured tissues.

Therapeutic agents and therapeutic methods for treating injured tissue

It is intended to provide a novel peptide which can exert higher antifungal effect also on a patient whose organ function is impaired with no side effect problems. The peptide comprises the following amino acid sequence: (1) SEQ ID NO:1: Lys -Arg-Leu-Phe-Arg-Arg-Trp-Gln-Trp-Arg-Tyr, (2) SEQ ID NO:2: Arg-Arg-Trp-Gln -Trp-Arg-Met-Lys-Lys-Tyr, (3) SEQ ID NO:3: Lys-Arg-Trp-Gln-TTp-Arg-Leu-Tyr, or (4) SEQ ID NO:4: Lys-Arg-Leu-Phe-Lys-Tyr, an antifungal agent comprising the peptide, a composition having a fungicidal and/or growth inhibitory action against fungus containing an effective amount of the peptide as an active ingredient, a medical apparatus/device which contains the peptide, whereby a fungicidal action is conferred, and a fungicidal and/or growth inhibiting method against fungus comprising administering the peptide and the like.

The invention provides an agent for conferring resistance comprising a lectin as an effective component, which are able to confer resistance against external stimuli to animal cells, particularly mammalian cells, and to their cultured cells and various tissues in the living bodies. The agent for conferring resistance to external stimulus according to the invention can confer to such animal cells and/or tissues resistance against mechanical stimuli and/or proteolytic reactions, and thereby enhance graft fixation of the cells and/or tissues, as well as transplant tissues obtained by culturing them.
