A vehicle obstacle detection device includes a sensor that transmits and receives ultrasonic waves, and a controller that instructs the sensor to transmit the ultrasonic waves. The controller compares amplitude of reflected waves received by the sensor with a threshold to determine presence or absence of an obstacle. The controller includes a voltage monitoring unit that detects a power supply voltage. The controller more reduces the threshold as the power supply voltage detected by the voltage monitoring unit is lower.

Vehicle obstacle detection device

A parking space monitoring device that calculates a parking space with higher accuracy. The parking space monitoring device includes an obstacle detection unit () that uses a relative distance (Ri) and relative angle (&#x3b8;i) between an obstacle (Cp) near a vehicle () and the vehicle to detect a relative position (Pi(R, &#x3b8;i)) of the obstacle with respect to the vehicle, a memory () that stores the relative position (Pi) detected by the obstacle detection unit in association with movement information of the vehicle, and a parking space calculation unit () that calculates a parking space based on the relative information (Pi) and the movement information that are stored in the memory.

Parking space monitoring device

An in-vehicle monitoring system is configured to determine the presence of an object when the number of continuous generations of an object detection signal obtained in connection with a transmission signal reaches a threshold. The in-vehicle monitoring system comprises an adjustment unit configured to decrease the threshold if the distance obtained from a transmission signal and an object detection signal decreases.
