To provide a wheel support bearing device, in which the status of actual use is detected and stored as a history, an IC tag () capable of a contactless communication is affixed to the wheel support bearing device. This IC tag () is rendered to be a sensor incorporated IC tag integrated with or electrically connected with a sensor for detecting an object to be detected of the wheel support bearing device and a detection of the sensor is inputted through an input channel separate from a channel for the contactless communication. The sensor referred to above may be, for example, a coil and a magnet () capable of passing in the vicinity of the sensor incorporated IC tag () by the effect of a relative rotation.

Wheel bearing device and its quality management method

A vehicle wheel rolling bearing has a sealing device integrated with a magnetic encoder. A semi-float type bearing apparatus has said rolling bearing which can protect a magnetic encoder and improve the sensing ability of the detecting sensor. The rolling bearing has an inner member with a wheel hub having a wheel mounting flange and an inner ring formed with inner raceway surfaces. An outer member is formed with double row outer raceway surfaces opposite the inner raceway surfaces. Double row rolling elements are between the raceway surfaces. Sealing devices include an inboard sealing device with an annular seal fitted on the outer member. A pulsar ring is mounted on the inner member and has an encoder mounted on a cylindrical holding portion. The encoder is arranged opposite to the annular seal. The encoder includes magnetic poles formed by magnetic powder with alternating polarity along its circumferential direction. A detecting sensor passes through the cylindrical portion of the seal and opposes the encoder. A predetermined air gap is kept between the encoder and detecting sensor.

A pulley, ball bearing and fan comprising each of the pulley and ball bearing for effectively restricting or preventing occurrence of abnormal noise under cold ambient conditions. A ball bearing 2 of a single row type includes an outer ring 2a and balls 2c. The outer ring 2a and each ball 2c are contacted with each other at two points. An oil groove 5 is formed at a position adjacent to the contact positions P and Q on the raceway surface between the raceway surface 3a of the outer ring and the balls 2c. Furthermore, since grease used herein has superior characteristics in the high temperature durability, there is no worry about a lowering of the high temperature durability as in conventional pulleys in which low temperature grease of good low temperature characteristics is employed.
