An ultrafine particle film which has excellent anti-staining properties, is effective for the prevention of electrostatic charge and reflection of visible light and can be applied to a large area at low cost, and an image display plate such as the one adapted to a Braun tube to which the ultrafine particle film is applied, and a process for producing the ultrafine particle film which comprises attaching a coating solution bath 22 to a surface of a Braun tube 21, filling the bath with a coating solution 23 containing antistatic SnO.sub.2 ultrafine particles so that the surface of the Braun tube 21 is covered with the coating solution, exposing the coated Braun tube surface at a predetermined rate to form an electrically conductive film on the Braun tube surface, the above process being repeated by using a coating solution containing the visible light anti-reflection ultrafine particles to form a visible light anti-reflection film on the electrically conductive film, and further applying thereon a water repellency treatment.

After the element has been installed in Position in the neck glass tube, the temperature therein is adjusted to cause the element to recovery to its initial shape into dust sealing engagement with the electroconductive layer.

In-line type electron gun for color picture tube

The electron gun structure comprises a cup shaped control electrode having a top provided with three aligned openings, and one ends of supporting members are secured to the outer wall of the control electrode near a lower opening. Each supporting member extends toward the top from the secured end and includes a portion separated from the outer wall. The other ends of the supporting members are embedded into insulating parts to position the control electrode with respect to other electrodes.
