A torsion damper is configured to be disposed inside a coil spring. The torsion damper includes a body and a helical groove. The body is made of resin. Besides, the body has a columnar shape. The helical groove is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the body.

Torsion damper and damper device

A torque limiter, fixed to a flywheel including an annular portion to which knock pins each including a trunk portion are fixed, is disclosed. The torque limiter includes a first plate, a second plate axially opposed to the first plate, a friction disc disposed between the first and second plates, a pressing member, and a third plate. The pressing member presses the second plate onto the friction disc. The third plate holds the pressing member together with the second plate therebetween. The third plate includes knock pin through holes such that the knock pin are fitted therein. The third plate is attached at an attachment surface thereof to the flywheel. A length between a surface of the pressing member, facing an interior of an accommodation portion of the flywheel, and the attachment surface of the third plate is shorter than a length of the trunk portion of each knock pin.

Torque limiter and power transmission device

A power transmission device includes a flywheel and a torque limiter unit fixed to the flywheel. The flywheel includes an annular portion and an accommodation portion provided on an inner peripheral side of the annular portion to accommodate the torque limiter unit. The torque limiter unit includes a first plate, a second plate, a friction disc disposed between the first and second plates, and a pressing member. A torque is inputted to the first plate. The first plate includes first engaging portions. The second plate is axially opposed to and non-rotatable relative to the first plate. The second plate includes second engaging portions engaged with the first engaging portions. The pressing member presses the second plate onto the friction disc. The annular portion of the flywheel is provided with recesses on the inner peripheral surface thereof. The recesses are recessed radially outward in opposed positions to the second engaging portions.

Power transmission device

A torque limiter fixed to a flywheel including an annular portion and an accommodation portion is disclosed. The torque limiter includes a first plate, a second plate axially opposed to the first plate, a friction disc disposed between the first and second plates, a pressing member, and a third plate. A torque is inputted to the first plate. The pressing member presses the second plate onto the friction disc. The third plate supports the pressing member with the second plate therebetween while the pressing member is compressed. The third plate includes a support portion supporting the pressing member and a tubular portion provided in an outer peripheral part of the support portion. The tubular portion covers an outer peripheral surface of the friction disc. The tubular portion axially extends and is opposed to an inner peripheral surface of the annular portion of the flywheel, and includes first openings circumferentially aligned.

A clutch disc includes a core plate and a friction member having an annular shape. The core plate includes a coupling portion having an annular shape and a plurality of fixation portions. The plurality of fixation portions protrude radially outward from the coupling portion and are circumferentially aligned through a plurality of slits each radially extending between adjacent two of the plurality of fixation portions. The friction member is fixed to the plurality of fixation portions and has an inner diameter larger than a diameter of the core plate at inner peripheral ends of the plurality of slits. The friction member includes a plurality of discharge grooves on an inner peripheral end surface thereof in corresponding portions thereof to the plurality of fixation portions. The plurality of discharge grooves lead water to the plurality of slits when the water drops on the inner peripheral end surface of the friction member.

Clutch disc and torque limiter

A spring assembly for absorbing and attenuating a torsional vibration includes an outer coil spring and an inner coil spring. The inner coil spring is disposed in an interior of the outer coil spring. The inner coil spring has a shorter free length than the outer coil spring. The inner coil spring is chamfered on end surfaces of both ends thereof. The inner coil spring has an outer diameter set to be smaller at least at an endmost winding on each of the ends thereof than at other windings thereof.

Lockup device, and fluid-type torque transmission device equipped with same

A lock-up damper or clutch 7 of a torque converter 1 is provided with a plurality of coil spring assembly 32 for elastically coupling the piston 22 of the torque converter 1 to a turbine 4 of the torque converter 1. The coil spring assembly 32 basically includes a large coil spring 40 and two spring seats 42. The coil spring assembly 32 is designed to prevent a reduction of the performance of the coil spring 40 and to absorb a torsion vibration in the lock-up damper 7 for the torque converter 1. Each of the spring seats 42 is disposed one of the sides of the large coil spring 40. Each of the spring seats 42 has a seat part 43, a first protrusion 44 and a second protrusion 45. The seat part 43 contacts the end of the large coil spring 40. The first protrusion 44 extending from the seat part 43 and is pressed-fitted into an end turn of the large coil spring 40.
