A saddled vehicle includes an air cleaner and a vehicle body movement sensor. The air cleaner takes travel wind in an air cleaner box to purify air of the travel wind and supplies the purified air to an internal combustion engine. The vehicle body movement sensor is received in a recess and measures movement of a vehicle body. The recess is defined by a flat surface that crosses a rear wall of the air cleaner box. This provides a saddled vehicle including a vehicle body movement sensor that is disposed without reducing the volume of an air cleaner box.

Saddled vehicle

An exhaust device for an internal combustion engine of a saddled vehicle includes an exhaust muffler disposed on an outer side of a rear wheel so as to overlap the rear wheel when viewed from a side a muffler protector which covers the muffler. The muffler protector includes an inner protector half body covering the exhaust muffler from the rear wheel side and an outer protector half body covering the exhaust muffler from a vehicle outer side opposite to the rear wheel The inner protector half body is detachably mounted on the exhaust muffler or the outer protector half body while maintaining a state in which the outer protector half body is mounted on the exhaust muffler.

Exhaust device for internal combustion engine of saddled vehicle

An engine includes: a cylinder head that forms an intake port connected to a combustion chamber; a throttle body that is joined to the intake port and adjusts a degree of an opening of an intake passage by rotating a throttle vale around a rotation axis of a valve shaft, the throttle vale being fixed to the valve shaft; and a case that stores a drive member and supports a drive motor, the drive member being fixed to the valve shaft, the drive motor generating a drive force that is transmitted to the drive member. The case overlaps with the intake port as seen in a side view. Accordingly, in the engine, it is possible to reduce the volume of the intake passage between the throttle valve and the combustion chamber.

Engine

An air cleaner includes: an air cleaner box defining a clean chamber that is placed rearward of a dirty chamber, the clean chamber receiving air which has been introduced from front into the dirty chamber and then filtered through an air cleaner element; and funnels that are to be connected to an intake port of an internal combustion engine, the funnels protruding upward into a space within the air cleaner box from a bottom wall of the air cleaner box. The air cleaner further includes a breather chamber into which blow-by gas is introduced from the internal combustion engine, the breather chamber being placed rearward of the funnels and between the funnels and a rear wall of the air cleaner box. Accordingly, the air cleaner can further promote the air-liquid separation of blow-by gas without incurring an increase in weight of the internal combustion engine.

Air cleaner

A fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine includes a plurality of fuel injection valves that are disposed side by side in an engine main body or in an intake system component forming part of an intake system, and a fuel distribution pipe that is connected in common to the fuel injection valves and supported via a support part provided on the intake system component or on the engine main body, wherein the fuel distribution pipe is formed from a pipe material, and a restricting member that is a separate member from the fuel distribution pipe is mounted on the support part at a position adjacent to the fuel distribution pipe so as to abut against the fuel distribution pipe to suppress displacement of the fuel distribution pipe from the support part. Thus, it is possible to suppress displacement of fuel piping while ensuring the mass productivity.

Fuel supply device for internal combustion engine

An engine includes: a throttle body that is joined to an intake port and that makes a butterfly valve within an intake path actuate based on driving force of an electric actuator so as to adjust an opening degree of the intake path; a receptor that extends from the throttle body to a direction distant from the throttle body above a crankcase and that receives the electric actuator therein; and a supporting piece that extends from the receptor to the direction distant from the throttle body and that is supported on the crankcase. Accordingly, in the engine, it is possible to alleviate the influence of vehicle vibrations on the throttle body and actuator by enhancing the rigidity with which to support the throttle body and actuator in a simple structure.

A saddle-type vehicle includes a vehicle body frame, a pillion step supported by the vehicle body frame and on which a foot of a passenger is to be placed, a passenger seat supported by the vehicle body frame and on which the passenger is to be seated, an exhaust pipe configured to guide an exhaust gas discharged from an engine to an outside, an exhaust pipe cover covering the exhaust pipe from a lateral outside thereof, and a guard body extending laterally outward from the vehicle body frame, wherein the guard body is disposed below the pillion step and to protrude laterally from an opening part formed in the exhaust pipe cover.

Saddle-type vehicle

In an air cleaner for a vehicle, a connection part of a first intake duct to a cleaner case is disposed in a front half portion of one of left and right half portions of the cleaner case, the first intake duct including a first air inlet port opening forward. A connection part of a second intake duct to the cleaner case is disposed in a rear half portion of an other of the left and right half portions, the second intake duct including a second air inlet port opening rearward. The first intake duct is formed to include a first air outlet port opening rearward inside an unpurified chamber and curve in an up-down direction in a side view, and the second intake duct is formed to include a second air outlet port opening forward inside the unpurified chamber and curve in a right-left direction in a plan view.

Air cleaner for vehicle

An engine including a motorized throttle valve that can implement mutually neighboring disposition of a throttle body and a cylinder head and can implement a good opening and closing responsibility thereof. A swelling portion is formed on a side wall of a valve chamber in such a manner so as to bite between those of throttle bodies which neighbor with each other in order to accept a protrusion of part of a valve system in a radial direction of first and second camshafts. An electric motor is disposed at one side of the group of the throttle bodies. A speed reduction mechanism, for transmitting output power of the electric motor to a valve shaft, is disposed between those throttle bodies, which neighbor with each other at a different location in the group of the throttle bodies, in a neighboring relationship with the valve chamber.

Engine including motorized throttle valve

An intake system for a vehicle includes an air cleaner assembly in a compact size. Intake passages introduce intake air to front and rear cylinder blocks of a multicylinder engine, and an air cleaner assembly is connected to upstream ends of the intake passages. A space inside an air cleaner case of the air cleaner assembly is partitioned into upper and lower sides by a partition wall, forming a clean chamber above the partition wall and a dirty chamber below. The intake passages are arranged to pass through the dirty chamber in an up-down direction, and inlets of the intake passages are arranged in the clean chamber. A through hole is formed in the partition wall between the intake passages for the front and rear cylinder blocks. An air cleaner element, configured to clean incoming intake air, is arranged to occlude the through hole.

Intake system for a vehicle, and engine including same

A breather apparatus for an internal combustion engine for a vehicle in which an air cleaner is disposed above a crankcase. A breather tube is provided for guiding blow-by gas exhausted from the crankcase. The breather tube is coupled with a breather chamber formed in the air cleaner to separate gas and liquid in the breather chamber in the air cleaner. An upstream side flow path, coupled to the breather tube, and a downstream side flow path, continuously extending in a substantially U-shape to the upstream side flow path, are formed in the breather chamber.

Breather apparatus for internal combustion engine for vehicle

A saddle type vehicle including a frame of a monocoque structure having an air cleaner wherein the sealing property can be secured. An air cleaner includes a filter element disposed in a hollow main frame to partition the main frame into a dirty side region and a clean side region. An intake path member connects an engine below the main frame to the clean side region. A communicating opening for communicating with the engine is formed on a lower face side of the clean side region. The communicating opening is covered with a lid member. The lid member includes a first plate member with a communicating hole in which the intake path member to the engine is inserted, a second plate member for surrounding an outer periphery of the first plate member, and an elastic member provided between the first plate member and the second plate member.

Saddle type vehicle

A secondary air supply system is arranged efficiently and compactly, in a V-type engine including a front-side cylinder and a rear-side cylinder. A motorcycle includes an engine having a front-side cylinder and a rear-side cylinder with an air cleaner being disposed on the upper side of the engine. A secondary air supply system has a reed valve provided between the air cleaner and an exhaust passage of the engine and by which secondary air is supplied into the exhaust passage of the engine. Intake ducts for guiding air into the air cleaner are connected to left and right side surfaces of the air cleaner. The reed valve includes a front-side reed valve used for the front-side cylinder and a rear-side reed valve used for the rear-side cylinder.

A hollow main frame extends rearwardly from a head pipe. An air cleaner includes a filter element disposed in the main frame forming a dirty side and a clean side. The main frame includes a front opening for introducing intake air. The main frame includes an inner wall surface having a first rib extending peripherally and projecting inwardly into the space in the main frame. A second rib is disposed upstream or downstream of the first rib with respect to an intake air flow and projects inwardly into the space in the main frame. The filter element has an engaging member extending substantially along the inner wall surface and engageable with the second rib. The first rib peripherally surrounds the filter element to provide a division wall with the second rib engaging the filter element to support the filter element.

Frame structure for saddle-type vehicle

In a motorcycle having an air intake passage guiding an air flow to an internal combustion engine is formed between an upper surface of a front fender and a bottom plate of a front cowl covering a head pipe from the front and disposed just above a front wheel. The cooling performance of a heat exchanger disposed behind the front wheel and in front of an engine body is improved with a decrease in the air resistance by lowering the position of the front cowl. At least a part of an air intake duct is disposed above a front fender for supplying the air guided from an air flow inlet provided on the front end portion of a front cowl to an inlet system of an internal combustion engine. At least a part of the air intake duct forming a rear air intake passage is contained in the front cowl.
