Provided are: a molding material for a Blu-ray Disc substrate or an HD DVD substrates which is reduced in the occurrence of appearance failures and can realize a stable yield; and a method of producing the molding material. The molding material for a Blu-ray Disc substrate or an HD DVD substrate includes: an aromatic PC resin produced by an interfacial method (A); 150 to 350 ppm (in terms of mass ppm of a total amount of the molding material, the same applies hereinafter) of fatty acid monoglyceride having 14 to 30 carbon atoms (B); 10 to 150 ppm of PETS (C); and 30 to 120 ppm of antioxidant (D). The method of producing the molding material includes: introducing the component (A) into an extruder together with, with respect to the amount of the component (A), 150 to 350 ppm of fatty acid monoglyceride having 14 to 30 carbon atoms (B), 10 to 150 ppm of PETS (C), 30 to 120 ppm of antioxidant (D), and 500 to 1,000 ppm of water (E) having an electrical conductivity of 1 &#x3bc;S/cm or less at 25&#xb0; C., each amount being ppm of the ingredient (A) such that the water content of the PC resin in the extruder is adjusted to 500 to 1,300 ppm; producing a strand from the mixture by melt extrusion molding; cooling the strand; and cutting the strand into pellets.

Molding material for blu-ray disc substrate and molding material for HD digital versatile disc substrate

A flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a resin mixture of (A) from 60 to 99% by weight of a polycarbonate resin and (B) from 1 to 40% by weight of a styrenic resin, and from 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of(C) a functional group having silicone compound, and from 0.02 to 5 parts by weight of (D) a fluoro-olefin resin.

A flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition which exhibits excellent flame-retarding property and retention of the antistatic property for a long time. It comprises (A) a polycarbonate resin, (B) an aromatic vinyl resin having an acid salt group and (C) a silicone compound having a reactive group.

Flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition and molded article thereof

Provided is a flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin, (B) from 0.2 to 10 parts by weight of a core/shell type, grafted rubbery elastomer, (C) from 0.02 to 5 parts by weight of an organic alkali metal salt and/or an organic alkaline earth metal salt, and (D) from 0.02 to 3 parts by weight of a polyfluoro-olefin resin. Not containing a halogen compound for flame retardation, it has good flame retardancy, and its moldability, impact resistance, thermal stability, wet heat resistance and recyclability are all good.

Polycarbonate resin composition

Provided is a non-halogen, flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition that comprises a resin mixture of (A) from 60 to 99% by mass of a polycarbonate resin and (B) from 1 to 40% by mass of a polycarbonate copolymer having phosphorus atoms in its main chain, and contains (C) from 0.02 to 5 parts by mass, relative to 100 parts by mass of the resin mixture, of an anti-dripping agent. Also provided are moldings of the composition. The polycarbonate copolymer (B) that has phosphorus atoms in its main chain is typically a polycarbonate copolymer of which the repetitive structural units contain an aromatic organophosphate component. The resin moldings have good impact resistance, good heat resistance and high stiffness intrinsic to polycarbonate resin. Not depositing on the wall of molds, the melt of the resin composition is well flowable and is stably molded into high-quality moldings having good appearance, and its long-run workability is good.

Flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition and molded articles

Provided are a flame retardant polycarbonate resin composition and housings of the composition for electric and electronic instruments and appliances. Having good fluidity and good moldability, the composition can be well molded into thin-wall moldings with good appearance. The composition contains additive components of a fibrous filler, a terpene resin, a composite rubber-based graft copolymer, a halogen-free phosphate compound and a polytetrafluoroethylene.
