In order to downsize an overall apparatus without setting the swing angle of a swing member to be unnecessarily large, a pickup roller, which is for feeding a document disposed on a feeding tray, is supported by a pickup arm that is swingable about a rotation shaft. Depending on the rotational direction of the rotation axis, the pickup arm swings between a first position, in which the pickup roller is in contact with the document on the feeding tray, and a second position, in which the pickup roller is above and not in contact with the feeding tray. An arm member is rotated by rotation of the rotation axis after the pickup arm swings to the second position.

An image reading device includes a reading main unit including a document platen capable of being loaded with a document, a document cover configured to press the document against the document platen, and a hinge mechanism configured to move between a first position and a second position with respect to the reading main unit, wherein the reading main unit includes a first abutment portion capable of abutting the document cover, and wherein an open angle of the document cover with respect to the document platen is regulated to a first angle by abutment between the document cover and the first abutment portion when the hinge mechanism is in the first position, and the open angle is regulated to a second angle larger than the first angle by a regulation portion provided in the hinge mechanism when the hinge mechanism is in the second position.

An object is to provide a liquid ejecting apparatus that enables a liquid storage container to be properly and easily refilled with a liquid from a liquid refilling container without causing color mixture in the liquid storage container. The liquid ejecting apparatus includes liquid storage containers each configured to feed the liquid to a liquid ejecting portion and liquid refilling containers each configured to refill the liquid storage container with the liquid. A first fitting unit is provided around a liquid injection port in each of the liquid storage containers. A second fitting unit is provided around a liquid pour-out port in each of the liquid refilling containers. The second fitting unit is fitted to the first fitting unit to enable the liquid to be delivered from the liquid pour-out port to the liquid injection port.

In a case where the first conveying unit is in the first posture, a sheet conveyance path is formed in which the first conveyance path, the second conveyance path, and the third conveyance path are connected in this order. A reading apparatus includes a reading unit configured to read a document, a feeding tray on which the document to be read by the reading unit is stacked, a feeding roller that feeds the document from the feeding tray to a position where the document is read by the reading unit, a feeding pressure plate that presses the document against the feeding roller so that the document is pinched between the feeding roller and the feeding pressure plate, and a discharge roller that discharges the document read by the reading unit to underneath the feeding pressure plate, wherein a position of the discharge roller moves depending on a number of documents pinched between the feeding roller and the feeding pressure plate.

A reading control apparatus that causes a reading apparatus including a light source and a sensor configured to receive light reflected by an original, to read the original, executes control for changing the irradiation angle of the light source with respect to the original. The control is executed to change the irradiation angle for one light source. Read images of the original corresponding to respective changed irradiation angles are acquired based on reflected beams that correspond to the respective irradiation angles and have been received by the sensor. The region of a correction target on the original is detected based on the acquired read images.

An image reading/recording apparatus which can prevent a reading unit from closing abruptly and reduce the force required to open the reading unit is to be provided. The apparatus is equipped with a damper unit which links the apparatus body and the scanner unit and the working direction of whose force is reversed on the way of the turning of the scanner unit, and a metal-made supporting member which is arranged in the apparatus body and supports the damper unit in a state in which the scanner unit is closed relative to the apparatus body.
