Technology of the present invention improves the shielding performance of an outer conductor. A connectorincludes an inner conductorand an outer conductorthat surrounds the inner conductor. The outer conductorincludes a first outer conductorthat can be electrically connected to a shield layerof an electric wire, and a second outer conductorthat can be electrically connected to the first outer conductorand can be electrically connected to a partner outer conductorof a partner connector. The first outer conductoris a member formed with a tubular shape by casting or cutting, and includes a first lock portion. The second outer conductoris a plate-shaped member and includes a second lock portionthat can be locked to the first lock portion

The connector includes an inner conductor with electrical conductivity including a wire barrel that connects to the core wire and the terminal connection portion that electrically connects to the tab portion T of a mating terminal, a dielectric that is made of a synthetic resin and that includes a cavity that houses the inner conductor, and an outer conductor with electrical conductivity that encloses the dielectric, wherein the dielectric includes a first wall portion (inter-layer partition wall) adjacent to the inner conductor, and a portion of the first wall portion is a thin portion with less thickness than other portions.

A connector includes a housing and an outer conductor. The outer conductor includes a first outer conductor and a second outer conductor. The housing includes a fitting hole into which the second outer conductor is fitted. The first outer conductor includes a first lock portion. In the state where the first outer conductor is located at a normal insertion position, the first lock portion is arranged so as to face the back side in the fitting direction of the second outer conductor in the fitting hole. The second outer conductor includes a second lock portion that is locked to the first lock portion in the state where the first outer conductor is located at the normal insertion position.
