The locking structure includes a locking part configured to lock with mating members defining locking holes. The locking part includes at least two insertion parts. The insertion parts include pairs of guide walls defining insertion channels extending in respective directions for inserting and supporting mating members. The insertion parts include locking protrusions between guide walls for engaging with the locking holes of the mating members.

Housing-side intimate contact ribs are formed on a rear end surface of a male connector housing, and a holder-side intimate-contact ribs are formed on a mat seal holder which holds a mat seal on the male connector housing. These intimate-contact ribs are inserted respectively in inlet portions of intimate-contact cavity portions formed in the mat seal, thereby provisionally retaining the mat seal. In this condition, metal terminals can be easily and positively passed respectively through wire insertion holes in the mat seal.

Connector assembly ( ) includes internal and external connector housings ( ) matable with each other. The assembly includes a cam projection ( A) provided to one of the internal and external connector housings. Connector assembly

The connector includes at least a terminal accommodating cavity for receiving a receptacle terminal of a rectangular hollow beam. The receptacle terminal has an electrical connection portion including a resilient contact tongue. The terminal accommodating cavity has a pin terminal insertion opening. Furthermore, a distortion preventing member extending from said pin terminal insertion opening is provided in the terminal accommodating cavity. The distortion preventing member is constructed to prevent distortion of a pin terminal even when the pin terminal is incorrectly inserted in a slanting direction through the pin terminal insertion opening into the receptacle terminal. The distortion preventing member has a rising wall rising from a bottom wall of the terminal accommodating cavity. An extended wall is provided to extend from a free end of the rising wall into the terminal accommodating cavity. The extended wall may have a slit positioned in a middle portion thereof, the slit extending in the insertion direction of the pin terminal.

Electrical connector having terminal distortion preventing structure

An integrally molded automotive waterproof connector is disclosed which comprises a thermoplastic resin and integrated therewith an oil-bleeding silicone rubber, the thermoplastic resin containing a thermoplastic resin oligomer containing at least one aliphatic unsaturated group. In the connector, the adhesion between the thermoplastic resin and the silicone rubber is satisfactory regardless of the length of storage period as compared with connectors comprising a thermoplastic resin and a silicone rubber integrated therewith after priming. Further, the connector of the present invention is excellent in production efficiency and workability, is reduced in connector housing fitting force, and can retain satisfactory waterproofness.

A sealing part for connector waterproofing is disclosed, which comprises a vulcanized molding obtained from a composition comprising 100 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane (1), from 5 to 100 parts by weight of a reinforcing silica powder filler (2), from 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of a hydrogensiloxane polymer (3) having two or more Si-H bonds per molecule, and from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of t-butyl peroxy-3,5,5-trimethylhexanoate (4). The sealing part for connector waterproofing of the present invention is satisfactory in heat resistance, low-temperature resistance, and oil resistance and can be produced at low cost in a reduced molding time.

An oil-bleeding waterproof sealer for a connector comprising a vulcanized and molded article of a composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of a diorganopolysiloxane green rubber containing at least two alkenyl groups bonded to silicon atoms per molecule thereof, (B) from 10 to 100 parts by weight of a reinforcing filler, (C) from 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an organohydrogenopolysiloxane having at least two hydrogen atoms bonded to silicon atoms per molecule thereof, (D) from 1 to 30 parts by weight of a phenyl-containing diorganopolysiloxane having a viscosity of 1 to 3,000 cSt at 25.degree. C., and (E) a catalytic amount of a catalyst for hydrosilylation having a particle size of 0.01 to 20 .mu.m, which comprises a platinum catalyst and a non-silicone series thermoplastic resin having a glass transition point of 50.degree. to 200.degree. C., with the proportion of metallic platinum in the catalyst for hydrosilylation being 0.01 to 5% by weight.

The present invention provides a sealing component for connector waterproofing having an excellent heat resistance, low-temperature resistance and oil resistance which can be economically produced in a reduced molding time. A novel sealing component for connector waterproofing is provided, which comprises a vulcanized composition comprising at least (a) 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane represented by the following average composition formula (I), (b) from 5 to 500 parts by weight of a finely divided silica filler, (c) from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a dialkyl peroxide or peroxy ketal which has a half-life of 1 hour at a temperature of from 130.degree. C. to 150.degree. The present invention relates to a connector housing and a method of manufacturing the waterproof connector housing. The waterproof connector housing according to the present invention includes: an engagement frame for receiving a mating connector at a front portion thereof; a ring-like primer layer formed on a wall of at least an engagement face of the engagement frame; and addition-reaction fluid silicone rubber formed on the ring-like primer layer, wherein the addition-reaction fluid silicone rubber is combined with the primer layer by vulcanizing the fluid silicone rubber such that a ring-like packing is integrally formed with the connector housing. The method of manufacturing the waterproof connector housing includes the steps of: manufacturing a connector housing having an engagement frame for receiving a mating connector at a front portion thereof; attaching a primer layer to a wall of an engagement face of the engagement frame; drying the primer to form a ring-like primer layer; putting the connector housing with the primer layer between a male metal mold and a female metal mold having an opening; injecting fluid silicone rubber into the opening of the female metal mold; vulcanizing the fluid silicone rubber to form a ring-like packing in the opening; and removing the male and female metal molds to take out a molded product in which the ring-like packing is integrally formed with the connector housing.
