An antenna device includes a ground electrode on rear sides of first and second antenna elements. The ground electrode includes ground layers and respectively having slits located between the first and second antenna elements as viewed in the thickness direction of the ground electrode. A first edge on a side of the first antenna element of the slit includes a first portion and a second portion closer to a second edge on a side of the second antenna element than the first portion. A fourth edge on the side of the second antenna element of the slit includes a third portion closer to the second antenna element than the first portion and includes a fourth portion closer to a third edge on the side of the first antenna element than the third portion and closer to the first antenna element than the second portion.

Antenna device

An antenna device includes: a ground electrode plate; one or more first radiating electrode plates which face the ground electrode plate; a second radiating electrode plate which lies between the ground electrode plate and the one or more first radiating electrode plates; one or more first feeder lines which are connected to the one or more first radiating electrode plates; a second feeder line which is not connected to the one or more first feeder lines but is connected to the second radiating electrode plate; and a ground line which does not connect the one or more first radiating electrode plates to the ground electrode plate but connects the second radiating electrode plate to the ground electrode plate. The one or more first radiating electrode plates lie inside the second radiating electrode plate as viewed from a thickness direction of the ground electrode plate.

Antenna device and antenna unit

An antenna module includes a main body, an antenna, and a shield electrode. The antenna includes an antenna electrode that covers a side surface of the main body. The shield electrode covers a top surface of the main body without being in contact with the antenna electrode. The main body includes a substrate, a plurality of electronic components and, a first dielectric layer, a second dielectric layer, at least one first ground connection electrode, and at least one second ground connection electrode. The electronic components and are mounted on the substrate. The first dielectric layer covers a first main surface of the substrate. The second dielectric layer covers a second main surface of the substrate. The at least one first ground connection electrode is in the form of a column extending through the first dielectric layer and connects the substrate to the shield electrode.

Antenna module

An antenna module () includes a ground electrode () in which a slit () is formed in such a manner as to form an opening along a perimeter of the ground electrode, a first antenna () and a second antenna (A) arranged in or on the ground electrode (), and a coupling reducing electrode () connected to the ground electrode () within the slit (). The slit () is formed on a path leading from the first antenna () to the second antenna (A) along the perimeter of the ground electrode. The coupling reducing electrode () includes a first conductor () having a length corresponding to a first frequency and a second conductor () having a length corresponding to a second frequency, which is higher than the first frequency.

Antenna module and communication device incorporating the same

An antenna unit includes a feed point, a first antenna conductor extending from the feed point and having a width that expands as a distance from the feed point increases, a second antenna conductor facing a top end edge of the first antenna conductor with a gap formed therebetween, a first connection part connecting the top end edge of the first antenna conductor and the second antenna conductor via a capacitor, and a second connection part connecting the top end edge of the first antenna conductor and the second antenna conductor via an inductor or a zero-ohm resistor. A first connection point between the first connection part and the first antenna conductor is closer to a center of the top end edge of the first antenna conductor compared with a second connection point between the second connection part and the first antenna conductor.

Antenna unit and wireless communication device including the same

An element assembly has a structure in which insulator layers including first and second insulator layers are laminated in an up-down direction. The first insulator layer is above the second insulator layer. A radiant conductor layer is on an upper surface of the first insulator layer. A first capacitance defining portion includes a first interlayer connection conductor passing through one or more of the insulator layers in the up-down direction. The first interlayer connection conductor is electrically connected to the radiant conductor layer. The radiant conductor layer, a ground conductor, and the first capacitance defining portion define and function as a patch antenna. When the first interlayer connection conductor is electrically connected to the radiant conductor layer, a distance from a lower end of the first interlayer connection conductor to the ground conductor in the up-down direction is shorter than a distance from the radiant conductor layer to the ground conductor in the up-down direction.

Multilayer board

A conductor pattern of an antenna device is provided in a notch and includes a common conductor, a first conductor, and a second conductor. A power supply unit is disposed at a connection portion between a conductor plate and the conductor pattern. Each of the first conductor and the second conductor is connected to the power supply unit with the common conductor interposed therebetween. The power supply unit is positioned at a position at which a distance to an opening end is shorter than a distance to a closed end at a side end. A first partial conductor of the first conductor is positioned between the second conductor and a side end. A length of the first conductor in a direction along the side end is longer than a length of the second conductor in the direction along the side end.

An antenna () includes a grounded conductive foil () disposed on a module substrate (), a first conductive foil (), and a second conductive foil (). The first conductive foil () and the second conductive foil () are disposed on the module substrate (), are elongated, and do not overlap with the grounded conductive foil () in a plan view of the module substrate (). The first conductive foil () has one end supplied with an antenna signal and the other end that is open. The second conductive foil () has one end connected to the grounded conductive foil () and the other end that is open. A wireless module () includes a circuit unit () including a communication circuit and provided to the module substrate () on which the antenna () is formed.

Antenna and wireless module

An antenna includes a dielectric substrate, a radiating element, a parasitic element, and a ground conductor. The dielectric substrate has a plate-like shape having a top face and a back face opposite to each other. The radiating element is placed between the top face and the back face of the dielectric substrate and transmits and receives a radio frequency signal of a first frequency. The parasitic element is placed on the top face of the dielectric substrate and transmits and receives a radio frequency signal of a second frequency. The ground conductor is placed on the back face of the dielectric substrate. The second frequency is a lower frequency than the first frequency. The dielectric substrate has an electric field boundary plane that reflects a radio frequency signal of the second frequency at an intermediate position in a thickness direction orthogonal to the top face and the back face.

Antenna

A dual band compatible antenna device includes a first branch electrode having a first electrode portion connected to a common electrode with a first adjustment element interposed between the first electrode portion and the common electrode and a second branch electrode having a second electrode portion connected to the common electrode with a second adjustment element interposed between the second electrode portion and the common electrode. The first electrode portion and the second electrode portion are provided on a line to have a length equal to or longer than &#x2154; of an electrical length of the first branch electrode and the second branch electrode.

Dual band compatible antenna device

A first ground conductor is disposed in or on a main substrate. In or on an antenna module, a first antenna and a second ground conductor operating as a ground electrode of the first antenna are disposed. A coaxial cable including a core wire and an outer conductor feeds power to the first antenna. The outer conductor is electrically connected to the first ground conductor at a first position, and is connected to the second ground conductor at a second position. A second antenna including a feed element and a parasitic element operates at a lower frequency than the operating frequency of the first antenna. The second ground conductor and a part of the outer conductor from the first position to the second position also serve as the parasitic element of the second antenna.

An antenna element includes an antenna board, a radiation conductor including radiation portions including a top surface portion and being divided at positions corresponding to frequency bands and provided with respect to a first feeding point in plan view of the antenna board, through-conductors penetrating the antenna board at respective positions of end portions of the top surface portion in a thickness direction, and bottom surface electrodes provided on a bottom surface of the antenna board opposite the end portions of the top surface portion, and connected to the top surface portion via the through-conductors.

Antenna element, antenna unit and communication module

An antenna device including a ground conductor and first and second antennas. The first and second antennas are linear antennas and have respective feeding points at ends on a side of the ground conductor. The first and second antennas perform transmission/reception at first and second frequencies that are adjacent to each other, respectively. Moreover, the first antenna includes a first monopole antenna and a loop antenna branched off from the first monopole antenna. An end of the loop antenna opposing a branching point at which the loop antenna is branched off from the first monopole antenna is short-circuited between the feeding points of the first and second antennas on the ground conductor.

This disclosure provides an antenna and a wireless communication device that includes the antenna in which a high-order mode can be controlled while maintaining good radiation characteristics in both the fundamental mode and high-order mode. The antenna has a radiation electrode provided on a surface of a dielectric substrate and a branch electrode portion that branches from the radiation electrode portion at a branch point near the feeding port toward a vicinity of a position of the radiation electrode at which a maximum voltage of a high-order mode is generated.

Antenna and wireless communication device

An antenna structure including a dielectric base member provided in a non-ground region of a circuit board and a feed radiation electrode provided on the dielectric base member. An outer side surface of the dielectric base member along an edge of one end of the circuit board defines a side surface. A feed electrode is provided in the non-ground region of the circuit board or outside the circuit board such that the feed electrode is disposed along side surfaces of the dielectric base member. One end of the feed radiation electrode defines a feed end connected to the feed electrode, and the other end of the feed radiation electrode defines an open end. The feed radiation electrode has a configuration in which a current path extending from the feed end to the open end has a loop shape so as to be provided on at least the side surface and an upper surface of the dielectric base member. A feed radiation electrode portion formed on the side surface of the dielectric base memberforms a capacitance between the feed radiation electrode portion and the feed electrode for improving antenna characteristics.
