A catheter assembly includes: a hollow catheter; a catheter hub to which the catheter is fixed; an inner needle including a needle tip, the inner needle being detachably disposed inside of the catheter; a needle hub to which the inner needle is fixed; a catheter operation member configured to move the catheter relative to the inner needle; and a support member attached to a distal side of the needle hub and configured to rotate about a rotation axis orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the assembly.

Catheter assembly

A catheter assembly includes an inner needle, a needle hub, a catheter, and a catheter hub. The catheter assembly further includes: a catheter operation member that enables the relative movement of the catheter and the catheter hub with respect to the inner needle; a support member that supports the catheter when the catheter is moved; and a connector that is connected to the catheter hub and is connectable with another medical device. Further, the catheter assembly includes a restriction portion that restricts free displacement of the connector with respect to the catheter hub.

A catheter assembly includes a catheter, a catheter hub fixed to the proximal end portion of the catheter, a hollow inner needle removably located in the catheter and including a distal end portion at which is located a needlepoint to puncture skin of a patient, and a guide wire slidably positioned in the inner needle. The guide wire is longer than both the inner needle and the catheter. A wire operating member is connected to the guide wire and is displaceable in the forward direction relative to the inner needle and the catheter. A main body is detachably connected to the catheter hub and includes a finger-engaging projection at a distal portion of the main body that is engageable by a user's finger to advance the main body and the catheter in the forward direction.

Catheter assembly with guidewire, catheter and puncture needle

A catheter assembly is disclosed, which includes a catheter; a catheter hub fixed to a base end portion of the catheter; an inner needle having a needlepoint, inserted into the catheter; a needle hub coupled to the inner needle; a needle support portion configured to support the inner needle through the catheter on a leading end side beyond the catheter hub, the needle support portion having a pair of support arms openable and closeable in a different direction to an axis of the inner needle; a restraining portion capable of restraining the pair of support arms in a closed state and releasing a restraint of the pair of support arms; and wherein the restraining portion is movable with respect to the pair of support arms by a movement of the catheter hub relative to the inner needle, which releases the restraint with respect to the pair of support arms.

A catheter assembly includes: a catheter including a main lumen and one or more sub lumens provided separately from the main lumen; and an inner needle extending through the main lumen; and a deflection suppression mechanism configured to suppress deflection of the inner needle. The one or more sub lumens respectively communicate with one or more sub openings formed in the catheter. The catheter is configured to advance with respect to the inner needle. The deflection suppression mechanism comprises a contact support portion that contacts the catheter when the catheter advances with respect to the inner needle. The contact support portion is configured to contact the catheter at (i) a location proximal of a distal-most one of the one or more sub openings, and/or (ii) a location proximal of a step portion generated in the catheter as the one or more sub lumens are formed.

An indwelling assembly includes an inner needle having a sharp needlepoint, an inner needle hub fixed to the inner needle, a hollow elongated outer member in which the inner needle is positioned and movable in a distal direction relative to the inner needle after puncturing the blood vessel to position the elongated outer member at a desired position in the blood vessel, an outer member hub fixed to hollow elongated outer member, a projection removably connected to the outer member hub and configured to be engaged by a finger of the user to apply a force to the projection causing the outer member hub and the hollow elongated outer member to move together with the projection in the distal direction relative to the inner needle and the inner needle hub, and an elongated movable member that is movable relative to the hollow elongated outer member and the outer member hub.

Indwelling assembly

A catheter assembly includes: a catheter including a circumferential wall and a distal opening; an inner needle inserted through the catheter, the inner needle having a sharp needle tip at a distal end of the inner needle; and a deflection suppression mechanism that supports the inner needle via the catheter to suppress deflection of the inner needle, the deflection suppression mechanism including a contact support portion that is configured to support the catheter when the catheter is advanced with respect to the inner needle. The circumferential wall of the catheter includes one or more side holes. In an initial state before the catheter is advanced with respect to the inner needle, a distal-most one of the one or more side holes is in a distal portion of the catheter, and the contact support portion is proximal of a proximal-most one of the one or more side holes.

A catheter assembly includes: a catheter including a distal end portion, and a body portion that is continuous with a proximal end of the distal end portion and extends along an axial direction; a hollow inner needle that has a needle tip and is removably inserted into the catheter; and a guide wire that is inserted into the inner needle so as to be movable back and forth and that is deliverable from the needle tip. The distal end portion of the catheter includes a constituent portion that is harder than, has a higher lubricity than, or has a higher elasticity than the body portion at at least a part of a surface of the distal end portion.

Catheter, needle, and guidewire assembly

A catheter assembly includes a catheter and an inner needle. The catheter has a catheter body and a flexible portion that is provided on a distal portion of the catheter body, includes a distal-most portion of the catheter, and is more flexible than the catheter body. The catheter body is made of a first material. The flexible portion is made of a second material. A change in flexibility of the second material between 25° C. and 37° C. is smaller than a change in flexibility of the first material between 25° C. and 37° C.

A catheter assembly includes: a hollow catheter; a catheter hub to which the catheter is fixed; an inner needle including a needle tip, the inner needle being detachably disposed inside of the catheter; a needle hub to which the inner needle is fixed; a catheter operation member configured to move the catheter relative to the inner needle; and a support member disposed at the needle hub and configured to rotate about a rotation axis orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the assembly. The support member includes a support main body portion that projects in a direction orthogonal to the rotation axis of the support member and that is movable relative to the needle hub between (i) a first position at which the support main body portion contacts and supports the catheter, and (ii) a second position at which the support main body portion does not contact the catheter.

A catheter assembly is disclosed, which includes a catheter; a catheter hub fixed to a base end portion of the catheter; an inner needle having a needlepoint, inserted into the catheter; a needle hub coupled to the inner needle; a needle support portion configured to support the inner needle through the catheter on a leading end side beyond the catheter hub, the needle support portion having a pair of support arms openable and closeable in a different direction to an axis of the inner needle; a restraining portion capable of restraining the pair of support arms in a closed state and releasing a restraint of the pair of support arms; and wherein the restraining portion is movable with respect to the pair of support arms by a distal movement of the catheter hub relative to the inner needle, which releases the restraint with respect to the pair of support arms.

A catheter assembly includes: a catheter; and an inner needle inserted through the catheter. The catheter includes: a catheter body; and a flexible portion that is located at a distal portion of the catheter body and forms a most distal portion of the catheter. An elastic modulus of the catheter body is greater than an elastic modulus of the flexible portion. The catheter has a mixed region in which the catheter body and the flexible portion overlap each other in a radial direction.

A reading device includes a carriage configured to move in a sub-scanning direction with reference to an object placed on a contact glass, an optical sensor attached to the carriage, the optical sensor being configured to scan the object placed on the contact glass to obtain an image of the object, and a reference scale used as a reference when a dimension of the object is computed based on the image obtained by the optical sensor. In the reading device, the reference scale extends in a main scanning direction and a sub-scanning direction with reference to the object, and is disposed outside a range of image acquisition in which the optical sensor scans the object to obtain the image of the object as the carriage moves and inside a maximum movement range in which the carriage is movable and the optical sensor obtains the image of the object.

Reading device and image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus and an image reading device. The image forming apparatus includes a feeder to feed a recording material, an image forming device to form an image on the recording material fed from the feeder, and an ejection unit to which the recording material on which an image is formed by the image forming device is ejected. In the image forming apparatus, the feeder and the ejection unit are made of a plurality of components, and at least one of the plurality of components of the feeder and the ejection unit disposed near the recording material is made of wood. The image reading device includes a to-be-scanned material feeder to feed a to-be-scanned material, and a reader to read an image on the to-be-scanned material fed from the to-be-scanned material feeder. In the image reading device, the to-be-scanned material feeder comprises a plurality of components.
