A method for controlling a liquid treatment apparatus of the present disclosure includes: (i) providing the liquid treatment apparatus; (ii) treating a polluted liquid in a photocatalytic reaction tank by a photocatalytic reaction to produce a treated liquid; (iii) introducing a liquid mixture into a separation tank from the photocatalytic reaction tank through a feed passage by a circulation pump; (iv) introducing a filtrate to an outside of the separation tank through an extraction passage while filtering the liquid mixture introduced into the separation tank by a filtration membrane, and feeding the liquid mixture to the photocatalytic reaction tank through an overflow passage; and (v) making a flow rate of the liquid mixture measured by a liquid mixture flow meter higher than a flow rate of the filtrate measured by a filtrate flow meter by controlling the circulation pump by a controller.

In an electric device (), an air inlet (),a gas-liquid contact portion (), a water collecting portion () and an air outlet () are arranged in sequential order from upstream of an air duct (). In a water storage portion () the gas-liquid contact portion () is dipped and the water collected thereby is stored. An electrolyzing portion () generates the electrolyzed water () containing an active oxygen species by electrolyzing the water stored in the water storage portion (). As a result, a compact electric device with an air cleaning function is provided at low cost that is capable of generating water containing an active oxygen species without requiring additional water feed and without generating a by-product.

A fibrous medium is located in contact with a water-outlet-side face of the electrodes. There disclosed a water reuse method in which a surfactant is easily removed from surfactant-including for-treatment water in a cleaning device, whereby water can be reused, and an adsorbent can easily be regenerated only by exposing the adsorbent to an electrolytic solution, and a washing machine including the function. The method includes a surfactant adsorption treatment step of performing a treatment to adsorb and remove a surfactant in surfactant-including for-treatment water such as cleaning water and rinse water used in a washing machine W by hydrotalcite as an anion exchanger or zeolite as a cation exchanger, and a water reuse step of using, in the washing machine W, the for-treatment water treated in the surfactant adsorption treatment step.

Provided are a treatment apparatus for removing fluorine content from water to be treated and a method of treating water to be treated using the same. Water to be treated, containing fluorine, is introduced into a treatment tank over a first path. Slaked lime is added to the water to be treated over a second path. Calcium chloride is added to the water to be treated over a third path. Thus, the fluorine contained in the water to be treated combines with calcium forming slaked lime or calcium chloride, thus yielding calcium fluoride, which is immobilized. When a filter film immersed in the water to be treated is used for filtration, the calcium fluoride contained in the water to be treated is concentrated.

A filtration apparatus is provided which is easy to maintain, manage and which enables preservation of filtration characteristics due to the fact that filtration is carried out by use of a gelatinous filter apparatus. In the filtration apparatus, filtration characteristics can be maintained by providing a bubble supplying mechanism for removing a sedimentary layer comprising removables that is formed on a surface of a filtration film and a filtration characteristics restoring mechanism for restoring the filter film clogged by the removables by causing a back-flow of filtered water accumulated in a cistern. There are provided a water treating method and water treating apparatus which can significantly improve an effect of eliminating microorganisms contained in water intended for drinking and cooking or waster water and a hydroponics system using the apparatus. The method comprises a first treating step of immersing an electrode and carbon fibers capable of collecting at least microorganisms in a passage of for-treatment water and applying a positive potential to the carbon fibers and a negative potential to the electrode so as to adsorb the microorganisms on the carbon fibers, a second treating step of stopping flow of the for-treatment water after completion of the first treating step and increasing the potentials applied to the carbon fibers and the electrode in the presence of the for-treatment water, while polarities of the potentials applied to the carbon fibers and the electrode are kept, so as to cause electrolysis of the for-treatment water, and a third treating step of applying an alternating voltage between the electrode and the carbon fibers in the presence of the for-treatment water after completion of the second treating step.

Water treatment device

There is provided a water treating method which can not only improve an effect of eliminating microorganisms in water intended for cooking and drinking or waste water but also prevent a reduction in trace amounts of nutritional elements. In the method, at least a pair of carbon fibers capable of collecting at least microorganisms are immersed in for-treatment water, potentials of opposite polarities are applied to the carbon fibers, and the polarities of the potentials are switched at a predetermined time interval so as to adsorb the microorganisms on the carbon fibers. After the microorganisms are adsorbed, a positive potential is applied to one of the carbon fibers, and a negative potential is applied to the other so as to cause electrolysis. Then, an alternating voltage is applied to the carbon fibers so as to heat the for-treatment water and the carbon fibers.
