One mode of an optical inspection apparatus according to the present invention is an optical inspection apparatus for optically inspecting an object, the optical inspection apparatus including: a biasing section () configured to apply, to a group of objects (A) on a stage, a force for moving the group of objects away with respect to the stage (); a catching section () including an adhesion portion () to which an object in the group of objects moved from the stage adheres; and an analysis section () configured to optically analyze the object caught by the catching section. This makes it possible to efficiently and satisfactorily perform optical analysis of individual microplastics by eliminating manual work of picking up the microplastics one by one.

Optical inspection apparatus and optical inspection method

Light with a plane of polarization rotated during transmission is converted to parallel light by a collimating lens. The parallel light is transmitted through a first birefringent plate to be separated into two polarized rays orthogonal to each other regardless of the rotation of the plane of polarization. The two polarized rays have planes of polarization rotated by the strength of a magnetic field in the course of transmission through a Faraday element. The polarized rays are reflected by a mirror at a downstream stage, each ray returning along the same optical path and transmitted through the birefringent plate again. At this time, the polarized rays are separated into four polarized rays with different ratios of light intensity according to the rotation of the planes of polarization. From these rays, the collimating lens selects only two orthogonal polarized rays to be detected. The selected rays are detected by a photodetector at a downstream stage. An arithmetic operation is carried out based on the two light intensities, thereby measuring the magnetic field with high sensitivity.

The photo-polymerizable dental composition (M) is filled in a dental cavity (H), and the light emitting element (5) of the optical fiber (2) is subsequently introduced in the filled photo-polymerizable dental composition (M) to a position adjacent a bottom of the dental cavity (H). Thereafter, the filled photo-polymerizable dental composition (M) is irradiated with the laser beam of 350 to 500 nm in wavelength at 10 to 100 mW, to cause the filled photo-polymerizable dental composite (M) to initiate polymerization progressively from a portion thereof adjacent the bottom of the dental cavity (H) towards a surface portion thereof.
