Magnetic recording medium and process for production thereof

A magnetic recording medium comprising a non-magnetic substrate such as on polyethylene terephthalate film, and deposited on the surface of the substrate by a ionized cluster beam deposition method, at least one ferromagnetic material selected from the group consisting of cobalt, cobalt-containing alloys, mixtures of cobalt with other elements, and chromium dioxide; and a process for production thereof. The magnetic recording medium is characterized by having superior magnetic properties, especially superior coercive force, residual magnetic flux density and squareness ratio, and high mechanical strength.

A magnetic recording medium comprising a non-magnetic substrate such as polyethylene terephthalate film, and deposited on the surface of the substrate by an ionized cluster beam deposition method, at least one ferro-magnetic material selected from the group consisting of cobalt, cobalt-containing alloys, mixtures of cobalt with other elements, and chromium dioxide; and a process for production thereof. The magnetic recording medium is characterized by having superior magnetic properties, especially superior coercive force, residual magnetic flux density and squareness ratio, and high mechanical strength.

Process for production of magnetic recording medium

An electro-thermosensitive recording material comprising (1) a support at least the surface of which is electrically conductive, and (2) a conductive recording layer formed on the conductive surface of the support, the recording layer containing (a) a film-forming chlorine-containing polymer and (b) dispersed in the polymer, an acid-sensitive leuco dye and at least one zinc compound selected from the group consisting of zinc oxide optionally doped with a different metal, zinc hydroxide, zinc sulfide, zinc carbonate, zinc acrylate and zinc stearate.

Electro-thermosensitive recording materials

An electrophotographic recording material formed by extrusion, which comprises (A) 100 parts by weight of a blended composition of olefins having high and low melt indices in a specified weight ratio, (B) 0.025 to 40 parts by weight of a specified light-sensitizing organic compound, (C) 200 to 600 parts by weight of particulate photoconductive zinc oxide, (D) 0.06 to 0.4 part by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the total of components (A), (B) and (C), of a specified metal (e.g., Mg, Ca, Zn, Sn) salt of a C.sub.12-20 saturated or unsaturated fatty acid, and (E) 1 to 20 parts by weight of a silicone polymer; the components (B), (C), (D) and (E) being uniformly dispersed in component (A), and the light-sensitizing organic compound (B) being adsorbed to the surface of the zinc oxide (C).
