A mount base includes: a base body having an insert hole to pass the steering shaft therethrough and holding the operating member thereon; a hook insertable into a fixing hole of the column; and an insert space located opposite from the insert hole with respect to the hook. The hook comes into contact with a locking member inserted into the insert space to have its movement regulated in a direction in which the hook disengages itself from the fixing hole. A mounting unit includes the mount base and the locking member. An operating device includes the mounting unit and the operating member. A moving vehicle includes the operating device, a steering shaft, and the column.

A switch device includes a operation body, a membrane switch pushed by the operation body, and plural push switches activated by pushing the operation body via the membrane switch. The membrane switch includes plural contact switches electrically connected upon being pushed by the operation body. The switch device is activated easily without operating errors.

With the stoplight switch and method for its mounting in accordance with the present invention, by configuring the stoplight switch in a manner such that a contact section of a spacer projecting out from a through-hole on the side surface of a case is made to come into contact with an end portion of a U-shaped engagement spring that is supported by a sliding body thereby to press the pressing section so as to move the spacer and secure the action rod and the sliding body, mounting work and adjustment of the action rod are made easy.

A stop lamp switch of the present invention includes; an operating shaft having one end face being outwardly projected from a switch case body, the end face abutting on a brake pedal of a vehicle; an actuator moving within the switch case body to separate a movable contact from a fixed contact; an engaging spring attached to the other end of the actuator so as to be engaged with a concave-convex locking portion provided on the operating shaft, and a spring regulating member for engaging both free ends of the engaging spring with engaging step portions provided to the spring regulating member in a freely engageable/disengageable manner while the engaging spring is being in a spread state.
