An electronic control device for power conversion having an integrated safety function and improved reliability includes: a power module for converting DC power into AC power and supply the AC power to a motor; a gate driver for controlling the power module; a microcontroller for controlling the gate driver; a power supply IC for supplying power to at least one of the gate driver and the microcontroller; a discharge circuit for discharging a high voltage supplied to the power module; and a sensor. The power supply IC includes a microcomputer abnormality detection circuit for detecting an abnormality of the microcontroller and a safety processing circuit for determining necessity of safety processing based on an output of at least one of the microcomputer abnormality detection circuit and the sensor and performs the safety processing. The safety processing circuit stops the motor or discharges a high voltage using the discharge circuit.

There is provided an electronic control device in which a microcomputer and a power source IC are mounted, the electronic control device having high reliability and being capable of performing fixation diagnosis of a safety control signal of the power source IC before activation of the microcomputer. Load driving device

Provided is an electronic control unit capable of performing a high-accurate failure diagnosis in a short time as an electronic control unit having a failure diagnosis function. A load drive circuit that drives a load, a control circuit that controls the load drive circuit, and a diagnosis circuit that diagnoses an output state of the load drive circuit and outputs a diagnostic result to the control circuit are provided. The diagnosis circuit outputs a diagnosis completion flag indicating whether or not there is a diagnosis opportunity to the control circuit.

Electronic control unit

An electronic control device has a compact abnormality detection circuit that does not require a complicated circuit, and is capable of suppressing a cost increase when being applied a direct injection injector drive circuit and other drive circuits. A current detection circuit includes a current detection resistor, a differential amplifier, and a current detection unit. The current detected is supplied to the abnormality/normality determination unit. A combined resistance value of a diagnostic current drive circuit and the current detection resistor is higher than an injector drive circuit. A fuel injection signal is input to a logic circuit, and a fuel cut signal is input to a different terminal of the logic circuit. The logic circuit's output terminal is connected to the injector drive circuit's gate. The output signal from a fuel injection signal output unit is supplied via a switch to the diagnostic current drive circuit's gate.

Electronic control device and abnormality/normality determination method of electronic control device

An inexpensive electronic control device is implemented that enables a power supply voltage supplied to a microcomputer to be varied using a simple method and that enables an identical power supply to be adapted to various microcomputers. A switch is turned on to determine the value of a discrete resistor, and a voltage based on the value of current from a current source and the resistance value of the discrete resistor is caused in an Interminal. By an A/D converter, the Interminal voltage is subjected to A/D conversion, and a digital code corresponding to the selectively connected discrete resistor is detected. The result of the A/D conversion is saved in a register, and the determination of the resistance value of the discrete resistor performed by the A/D converter is completed. After the completion of the resistance value determination performed by the A/D converter, power supply voltages start activation. The core voltage activates to secure a voltage corresponding to a reference voltage set by the register and thereby a desired power supply is completed.
