The blood flow analysis apparatus includes an acquisition unit and an extractor. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire blood flow information representing time-course changes in a blood flow velocity of a single retinal artery or retinal vein. The extractor is configured to extract one or more parameters corresponding to change in the blood flow velocity from the blood flow information.

A blood flow measurement apparatus of an aspect example includes a scanning optical system, a front image acquiring unit, a region-of-interest determining processor, a scan controller, and a blood flow information acquiring unit. The scanning optical system applies OCT scanning to a fundus of a subject's eye. The front image acquiring unit acquires a front image of the fundus. The region-of-interest determining processor determines a region of interest that intersects a blood vessel by analyzing the front image based on a condition set in advance. The scan controller controls the scanning optical system to apply a repetitive OCT scan to the region of interest. The blood flow information acquiring unit acquires blood flow information based on data collected by the repetitive OCT scan.

A blood flow measuring unit of a blood flow measurement apparatus of an embodiment includes an optical system for applying an OCT scan to an eye fundus and obtains blood flow information based on data acquired by the OCT scan. A movement mechanism moves the optical system. A controller applies a first movement control to the movement mechanism to move the optical system in a first direction orthogonal to an optical axis of the optical system by a predetermined distance from the optical axis. A judging unit judges occurrence of vignetting based on a detection result of return light of light incident on the eye through the optical system after the first movement control. The controller applies a second movement control to the movement mechanism to further move the optical system based on a judgement result obtained by the judging unit.

Blood flow measurement apparatus

A controller included in a blood flow measurement apparatus controls a scanner to iteratively scan one or more cross sections of an interested blood vessel. An image forming unit forms a phase image that represents chronological change in phase difference in the one or more cross sections based on data acquired through iterative scan. An image processor outputs a predetermined signal based on the chronological change in phase difference represented by the phase image. Upon receiving the predetermined signal, the controller controls the scanner to start scan for acquiring blood flow information on the interested blood vessel.

A storage device of an ophthalmologic image display device of an embodiment stores a three dimensional data set acquired by scanning a subject's eye using OCT. An image processor forms, based on the three dimensional data set, a B-mode image, front images, and composite front image obtained from the front images. A display controller displays the B-mode image, front images and composite front image in a predetermined layout. The display controller displays distinguishment color information for distinguishment between the front images by colors and slice area information that indicates a partial region of the B-mode image corresponding to a slice area of the three dimensional data set represented by each front image in a color according to the distinguishment color information, and displays a composite front image based on the front images, each of which is expressed by a color according to the distinguishment color information.

A blood flow measurement apparatus of an embodiment includes an image acquisition unit, an image region specification unit, a measurement location setting unit, a scanner, and a blood flow information generation unit. The image acquisition unit acquires an image of a living body. The image region specification unit analyzes the image to specify a plurality of blood vessel regions. The measurement location setting unit sets a plurality of measurement locations that intersects with the plurality of blood vessel regions. The scanner scans a plurality of cross sections of the living body corresponding to the plurality of measurement locations using optical coherence tomography. The blood flow information generation unit generates blood flow information on the living body based on data acquired through the scan.

A scanner of a blood flow measurement apparatus of an embodiment alternately performs first scan and second scan for first and second cross sections both intersecting an interested blood vessel. An image forming unit forms one or more images of the first cross section including a phase image of the first cross section and an image of the second cross section. A blood vessel region specification unit specifies a first blood vessel region in any of the one or more images of the first cross section and a second blood vessel region in the image of the second cross section. A gradient calculation unit calculates a gradient of the interested blood vessel at the first cross section based on the first and second blood vessel regions. A blood flow information generation unit generates blood flow information based on the phase image and the gradient.

An ophthalmic information processing system according to an embodiment includes a receiver and a processor. The receiver receives morphological data of an eye fundus of a subject. In addition, the receiver receives background data of the subject. The processor executes optic nerve head shape classification based on the morphological data and the background data received by the receiver.

Ophthalmic information processing system, ophthalmic information processing method, and recording medium

An optical coherence tomography (OCT) image composed of a plurality of A-scans of a structure is analyzed by defining, for each A-scan, a set of neighboring A-scans surrounding the A-slices scan. Following an optional de-noising step, the neighboring A-scans are aligned in the imaging direction, then a matrix X is formed from the aligned A-scans, and matrix completion is performed to obtain a reduced speckle noise image.

An ophthalmic image display device having, a display controller that displays a B mode image, a blood vessel enhanced image representing a same cross section as the B mode image, and one or more front images individually formed based on a three dimensional data set acquired by performing optical coherence tomography on a subject's eye in a predetermined layout. Ophthalmic surgical apparatus and attachment for ophthalmic surgery

A method and system are proposed to obtain a reduced speckle noise image of a subject from optical coherence tomography (OCT) image data of the subject. The cross sectional images each comprise a plurality of scan lines obtained by measuring the time delay of light reflected, in a depth direction, from optical interfaces within the subject. The method comprises two aligning steps. First the cross sectional images are aligned, then image patches of the aligned cross sectional images are aligned to form a set of aligned patches. An image matrix is then formed from the aligned patches; and matrix completion is applied to the image matrix to obtain a reduced speckle noise image of the subject.

Reducing speckle noise in optical coherence tomography images

An embodiment provides a new technique of ophthalmologic diagnostic imaging. An ophthalmologic imaging apparatus of an embodiment includes: an acquiring part configured to acquire three-dimensional image data of an eye by using optical coherence tomography; a designating part configured for designating partial image data that is a part of the three-dimensional image data corresponding to a specific site of the eye; a deforming part configured to deform the three-dimensional image data such that the partial image data is deformed into a predetermined shape to create new three-dimensional image data; a forming part configured to form cross-sectional image data based on the new three-dimensional image data; and a display controller configured to display an image based on the cross-sectional image data on a display means.
