A management system manages travel of at least one vehicle, and includes a vehicle and a travel management apparatus. The vehicle includes motors, a drive unit to move the vehicle by controlling the motors, a first communication circuit, and a control circuit. The travel management apparatus includes a signal processing circuit to generate an ncommand for causing the vehicle to move from an n (n: a positive integer)location to an (n+1)location and a second communication circuit. When the vehicle arrives in a region defined for the (n+1)location while moving from the nlocation toward the (n+1)location, the vehicle transmits a notification of arrival-in-region to the travel management apparatus. Upon receiving the notification of arrival-in-region, the travel management apparatus generates an (n+1)command for causing the vehicle to move from the (n+1)location to an (n+2)location, and transmits it to the vehicle.

There is provided a management system for vehicles which can make it easier to introduce changes in the traveling path on the field. A management systemmanages travel of a vehicle by using a travel management apparatus. The vehicle includes a plurality of driving wheels to be driven by a plurality of motors, a drive unit to rotate the driving wheels, a first communication circuit which receives data representing a traveling path from the travel management apparatus, and a control circuit which causes the vehicle to travel along the traveling path. The travel management apparatus includes: an image displaying device; an input device; an image processing circuit which generates, when the input device accepts from a user a designation of a plurality of locations on the image displaying device, an image containing a plurality of marker objects indicating the plurality of locations; a signal processing circuit which converts a set of coordinates of each marker object on the image into a set of coordinates in a space to be traveled by the vehicle, and sets a line segment or a curve on the image displaying device that interconnects the plurality of marker objects as the traveling path in the space; and a second communication circuit which transmits data representing each set of coordinates in the space and the traveling path to the vehicle.

A mobile unit control device includes an imaging unit, an identification unit, and a control unit. When installed on a mobile unit, the imaging unit captures at least a portion of the surroundings of the mobile unit to obtain an image thereof. When the image captured by the imaging unit includes a figure of a person, the identification unit determines a trunk of the person in the figure of the person as a representative point. The control unit controls a movement of the mobile unit on the basis of the position of the representative point determined by the identification unit in the image.
